I love that I am learning new things every day, for instance I was doing homework and went to use the calculator the computer comes with and found that it has 3 different types of calculators. The one I needed, scientific calculator, is one of them... The price was a steal and the lab top so far amazing...
I couldn't be happier with my new laptop. I've been retired for 20 years & since then only used a tablet & cell phone. The decision to get a laptop is one of the best decision I've made in 20 years.
It's GRRREAT for online use!! Very pleased....Heavy programs do bog it down, however, I didn't purchase it for that use...Battery life is awesome!! Excellent laptop for use online...The screen is very nice also!!
I wanted a small bench device for use with Arduino. It will be used off-line most of the time. Internet is a distraction when learning code. It switched without problems, and the Arduino application installed and was up and running. It is a solid piece of equipment for a burner! The Windows desktop is the best ever. And, when it is out of date, the device can be loaded with Linux.
It is what hat it is. Second week. All well. You have to set things up. Not too bad at all. Have someone help. I bought it for work. Telephone hot spot working well. You have to have a good connection to connect to wi-fi. Screen size to fine. Color ok. You have to be flexible.
It is a solid product. Easy (but a tad lengthy) set up. A good option if you are looking for a no frills do the basics computer
Although it's built for basic PC tasks, this laptop is no slouch! Windows 11 runs smoothly, it handles all basic tasks with ease - even watching video and streaming! Its a perfect size when you need a portable laptop but don't want bulk and the battery life is excellent. Web browsing, word editing and even some basic games will run!
So far, I really enjoy this computer. I just wanted something small to keep documents and write on and maybe keep up with emails and it's perfect for that. I love the slim design. It's light and thin which is perfect. I wish the screen was a little better, but it's not terrible. Overall, good for the money.
I couldn't resist the low price of this unit when I needed a Windows 11 PC for very basic computing. However, I was concerned that the performance would be unacceptably slow because of the Celeron CPU. I need not have been concerned. The speed is quite acceptable. The keyboard is excellent and I believe has a coating that reduces fingerprint oils. The keyboard is not backlit, which is not ideal, but at this price it is to be expected. I very much like this laptop, it is quiet, well-made, easy to type on and sufficiently speedy. The screen is the only real negative. It is too dim and washed out although the lack of glare is a big plus. My eyesight is no longer what it used to be and some of the lettering was too faint to be read easily at night unless the display was scaled up enough to make the apps awkward to use. I switched the operating system to Linux and found the display is much easier to use than with Windows and performance has also improved. I have taken 1 star off for the screen on an otherwise 5 star laptop. Two oddities need comment. One is the numeric keypad occupying the same space as the trackpad. I actually found this useful since I use a mouse and don't need the trackpad as such and having the numeric keypad there allows the regular keyboard to be less cramped on a 14 inch laptop. The second oddity is Windows 11 in S mode. I was fine with this since I only use basic apps and I think S mode makes Windows a bit speedier on a low end CPU. However, some may need to install apps not in the Windows Store and will, therefore, need to switch to regular Windows 11. Fortunately, Linux works just fine for what I need and it works very well on this laptop.
Do not buy this product. It would not connect to my iPhone hotspot. All my other laptops do. And asus is using covid to eliminate customer service and no one could help with the issue. I did find a solution. But it was no thanks to the laptop or asus.
