This is great for what I'm going to be using it for. I play D&D and a few table top games. I'm also going to be using this for my Leather working business.
Overall I'm pleased with the ASUS chromebook flip c433. I am very satisfied with the size of the screen and the high resolution. I love the appearance and the metal case makes it much sturdier. I get about 5 hours of use between charges and when using it long-term it gets pretty warm especially when flipped. For the price i paid it was a good purchase.
It is worth the switch!!! We are Google users in every other way, now this is our first Chromebook. The screen design to the edges is sleek and feels good. Computer is perfectly fast and runs everything we use for work and our personal lives. Keyboard is lit, and the trackpad has a good graduated speed feel to it. There is no lack of features with the purchase of our first Chromebook, in fact we are now switching our final laptop over from MacBook to Chromebook as well.
The thing with the item is that it very had little storage to put in documents and files in the computer and I couldn't focus on work because it just kept having that noticed
I love the touch screen capability. It is a good sized screen. It has been fun using it. I am sure it does so much more than I have learned to do. In time hopefully, I will learn all of it's secrets. What I don't like is the SD card slot. It is too easy to accidently eject it when you are in tablet mode. It would've been better if they had incorporated a "drawer" like cellphones use, where you use the pin to push the release for the "drawer" to either insert or remove the SD card. Other than that I am happy with my purchase.
Great for google apps and video/display purposes. Very lightweight and love everything so far except... - can't use for a full 3 hours unplugged and I'm having to fedex the original charger to asus and wait possibly a week or 2+ for replacement; - occasional page reloads or app crashes that happen when you change/flip the screen orientation; - no way to lock the mouse pad while I type SO MY CURSOR DOESN'T JUMP EVERY TIME MY HAND'S SHADOW GRABS IT!
I am very pleased with the speed and ability of the ASUS Chromebook. I was hesitant to go with something other than Windows but I really like it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because after a couple of months of use one of the USB ports stopped working. I had to send it to ASUS for repair and am waiting to get it back.
I'm generally happy with this Chromebook. It has a couple of quirks and I've contacted ASUS Support and so far, they've just pointed me to their knowledgebase rather than actually talk to me. The flip feature to use it in tablet mode is not as useful as I thought it would be. at 14 inches it is a bit too unwieldy and heavy to use as a replacement for an iPad or Android tablet. It is well made and seems to be very sturdy and I do like the backlit keyboard althoigh the letters can be difficult to see when the backlight is not on.
It's a beautiful laptop. I love the touchscreen. But it's slow for what I'm doing. I was on a webinar and working in an app at the same time and everything the presenter was doing was dragging. Also, I didn't realize that certain apps I use aren't compatible with chromebook, like my trading app and Microsoft office. I think this a great laptop for teens or someone who only uses it for personal things like I surfing the web, checking email and watching you tube, mainly Google apps.
Nothing but problems. Touch screen stopped working. Then the keyboard stopped working. Now the battery won't hold a charge. Its 3 months old! Still covered under the manufacturer's warranty and the process to submit a claim could not be more complicated and difficult. Seriously - the absolute worst.
