Already loving this Chromebook so much- it has easily replaced my old dinosaur of a laptop, and is quick and nimble while still having a large enough screen and plenty of ports for the things I need. I love the blue exterior color, the texture of the inside, and how quick it was to link up to my phone- no more than 15 minutes to go from my box to fully-functional!
I am a computer programmer and my daily laptops are very overkill for many every day tasks and difficult to travel with. This is the perfect computer for browsing the web, checking emails, watching videos/tv/music, and travel. The computer itself is quite pretty (gorgeous blue) and has a good screen size (plus a numpad!!!!!). Unlike other laptops, all of the necessary ports are present (usb c, usb a, hdmi, and headphone jack). One note: the plugs are all on one side, would love if there was at least a usb c on both sides. The build quality is good for the price and components seem sturdy. No issues so far with the battery life- works perfect for my needs. The Chromebook interface is good for daily tasks so long as you use the gsuite (think gmail, Google Drive, etc). The only negative I have is that my fingers squeak a bit while using the trackpad compared to my other laptops and the keyboard is ever so slightly compacted in my opinion. If you’re looking for an affordable, larger laptop with good build quality and a numpad - this is a great option.
ASUS CX1505CTA-WS48B Overview The ASUS CX1505CTA-WS48B is a dependable laptop aimed at everyday computing tasks. It performs well for activities like streaming, web browsing, and handling light productivity apps, making it a solid choice for students and casual users. Battery efficiency is one of its standout qualities, allowing most users to get through the day without frequent charging. This makes it convenient for use on the go. In terms of durability, the laptop feels well-constructed and secure, with standard protections suitable for home or travel. Keeping it in good working condition requires very little effort, as maintenance is straightforward. Although not designed for heavy multitasking or demanding projects, the laptop excels at accommodating daily needs and resolving minor issues without difficulty. Overall, the ASUS CX1505CTA-WS48B is a simple, reliable, and energy-conscious option for those seeking a hassle-free computing experience.
I got to try the Asus CX15 in a dark blue. It has a Full HD display with a 15.6 inch screen and 1920 x 1080 resolution, with a matte finish, not glossy, which helps greatly reduce glare. It's size does not make it heavy either, with it only weighing in at 3.53 lbs. It boasts all day battery, and I can say that I have noticed the battery last a long time. It has one drawback is 4gb of ram. Just starting the Chromebook it uses 2gb off the back. I have not yet figured out if there are any items that start running on startup that can maybe be disabled. So far however I have not ran into any issues where I get slowed down. I watched videos, used Gforce now to play Fortnite for a few hours and it worked great. It is very quiet, I have not heard any fan noise at all either, if it makes noise its not anything I have heard. It has a built in notebook function, however its a bit tricky to figure out. Google used to have a online Notebook option, it is not like that. I do prefer the old web based notebook function they had, as this one is a bit confusing. Bluetooth connects easily, as I've connected headphones and Xbox controller with no issues. It comes with one USB-C port that you connect your charger to, a USB-C for usage, a 3.5mm jack, a USB A port and a HDMI port, pretty much all the ports you need for functional use. If you are not looking to do any heavy duty work, this Chromebook is a great option for on the go travel, or for kids school work.
The Asus Chromebook CX15 is great for my academic work. It is very fast for handling deep research. The display is large 15.6 " and the keyboard very comfortable. It makes my long study hours much easier. It is stylish and lightweight . Perfect tool for any student.
First impression is that the laptop was bigger than I expected. At 15.6" the widescreen set up with near edge to edge display was big. The laptop was in the box as well as the power cord and manual. I had to plug the computer in the first time to power it up and it was into set up mode. It took roughly 10 minutes to set up and 2 hours and 15 minutes to fully charge from a small external battery. After charging I navigated the operating system and watched a YouTube video in 4k before watching the braves game from MLB. I ran the entire game from start to finish and ended with a 49% battery life. I started to customize it and noticed the os was actually Google. It is a very user friendly interface . The fit and finish of the laptop is simple and light but it didn't feel cheep at all. If I didn't know the price, I would assume it was mid-high level pricing. The downward firing speakers may be the only obvious thing in quality I didn't like. The keyboard is is acceptable but at this price point, you should not expect back lighting. My overall impression of this laptop is an 8/10 for general use and 10/10 for value.
absolutely love this laptop. from someone that’s had windows, apple, and everything in between this by far is my favorite. it runs super smoothly and is easy for me to stick in my bag and take to work! the blue color is absolutely beautiful i don’t know what else i can say! this laptop is AMAZING!
I actually got this laptop through a marketing app promotion, so I wasn’t expecting much at first, but it turned out to be a really useful device. The design looks clean and modern, and the blue color gives it a nice touch compared to standard black or silver laptops. The laptop is lightweight and easy to carry, which makes it practical for everyday use. I’ve mainly used it for browsing, streaming videos, checking emails, and working on documents, and it handles those tasks well. The keyboard is comfortable, and the full numeric keypad is a helpful extra feature. The screen is a good size for productivity and entertainment, although the display quality is fairly standard. It’s clear enough for daily tasks, but not something I’d recommend for professional editing or gaming. Performance has been smooth for basic activities, though it can get a little slower if too many tabs or apps are open at once. Battery life has also been decent and lasts several hours with regular use. Since I received this laptop as a reward, I’m honestly impressed with the overall quality and functionality. It’s a practical option for students or anyone looking for a simple laptop for daily tasks.
For starters the color is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and it’s truly weightless so it’s perfect for carrying it around. I didn’t notice any lag or slower speeds while having multiple tabs or applications running all at once. My biggest complaint would have to be the volume, which is HORRIBLE even at max volume I genuinely cannot hear or make out anything that’s being said so buying or bringing headphones would be a complete non-negotiable for this laptop. I feel like the battery life is pretty good, I haven’t noticed any significant draining while using it! Overall I think it’s a good little laptop especially for the price!
This wouldn’t honestly be super great for a college student. It’s pretty basic and could easily get all your work down. Has a nice large display yet good enough for video streaming as well. Definitely a good deal if you’re wanting something simple.
