It was exactly what I was looking for to replace an ancient Chromebook. This particular model had all the features I wanted, yet kept the design simple and easy to use.
The ASUS laptop has many features which are quite helpful, including the back-lighting of the keyboard. All its functions are performed very quickly and efficiently. There are many customizing functions that provide a very unique laptop experience. The speed, the capabilities, and the unique features are all provided at a very reasonable price.
I have never had a Chromebook laptop. But I think this is one of the very best laptops to have. Great for beginners like me. Has all the apps needed on it to get you started. I love my Chromebook!!! Was even delivered very safely. And works perfectly!!! Thank you very much Walmart!!!
This is a really nice Chromebook with touch screen and backlighted keyboard. The only downside was it had been purchased before and the previous owner had registered it which made it difficult to reset the warranty. Don't think I'll really need it as it seems to be very reliable but it would have been nice if ASUS would have reset the warranty on my request instead of making me have to jump through so many hoops it was virtually impractical and/or impossible.
love this laptop. I had not even heard of this brand before but decided to go for it and glad i did. I my previous laptop was a HP it was a little bigger than this one I dropped it and broke it so I had to get a new one period the one I had before that was a deal. I got this one about a month ago and it got down to this one and this Hewlett-Packard that I was looking at I actually initially ordered the HP but then kept going back and forth from this one and the HP and cancel the HP in order this one period they accidentally didn't they sent me both of them anyway so I was able to try the HP and compare this laptop is very heavy and I mean it's just nice it's very compact it's beautiful it's dark gray and it's just it it has a the thing that there were two the HP you could fold it back and it could stand up now that's something that really I really liked that this one does not do but this one has a lit up keyboard the HP did not the lit up keyboard makes all the difference in the world but for one thing and another it just fell for the price it's still
This is sort of an early review but I think for the value this Chromebook has the right stuff in place to satisfy many. The keyboard is really nice to type on, and is backlit. Nice big responsive touchpad. Screen quality is good, not going to stand out in a bright room or outdoors. Has a touchscreen as well. Speakers are just about average small, tinny and mounted on bottom corners. I typically use headphones for this reason. The core i3 CPU has plenty of performance for Chrome OS. Battery life appears to be a solid 6 hours maybe more depending on tasks. The body is all plastic but has some really nice glassy smooth finishes on the back screen and palm rest area. It just does not scream cheap and flimsy.
This Asus Chromebook is very quick and easy to use. It has a backlit keyboard and a touchscreen. Turning off the backlit keyboard helps with the battery life. When multi-tasking, the bottom can get hot and I have to be careful to keep the air flowing underneath it. For everyday, basic use, i.e, email, FB, searching, banking, etc., this Chromebook fits my needs. I do not play games on this computer, so I can't say how it would work in that capacity.
After a couple days of use I find the CX34 pretty good except for a few times when it did not wake from sleep. A search found this to be a glitch resolved with a Power/Refresh button press. Otherwise have no complaints on any of the fit and finish or its performance and battery life. I don't use Android apps so I removed that part of Chrome OS since it seems to use up a lot of RAM. Worth 5 stars if it wasn't for the sleep glitch.
The device arrived with massive backlight-bleed on all four corners. I started setting up an exchange on Walmart's website, but it only offered a refund. I'm not interested in driving to Walmart, returning the item, waiting for the refund, and then re-ordering the item, and waiting two more days for the new one to ship. So I'm just going to suck it up, but probably won't be able to watch movies because of how noticeable it is.
I loved this item so so much!!! for the entire 15 days it actually worked. it just stopped working one day. never will i purchase one of these again. it was such a waste! i chocked this purchase up as a loss as i missed the dead line to bring it back even after all the back an forth I had with the employees of Walmart. I'm not gonna lie siome of the problems were my fault as I didn't have reliable transportation to Walmart. when i did stop at Walmart it wasn't planned so i never thought to bring it with me. Then on the other hand I was told by an employee there that I wouldn't need to return it as he was going to refund it without it. I personally feel Walmart should have stood on what I was told then retrained that employee for future reference. I am leaving Walmart once my free months( I received for the "inconvenience " of this) come to an end. i spend so much money here it's unreal. I hate coming to the stores. I dislike physical interaction with people I don't know. I avoid it like the plague. As this item is highly unreliable I would not recommend it an I would definitely not recommend making this kind of purchase from Walmart as I was told it would take up to 45 days for the refund to process once returned. I am so bitter behind this purchase it still affects me. I bought this item for a $7000 time sensitive class I had just paid for prior to this purchase. when it went out I had a test coming up. They offer no exchanges for this item either. I would have gotten an paid for an Uber to exchange it right then. I ended up having to buy another one from else where an as my computer need was taken care of this item was forgotten about till it was too late. If your in the same boat looking for alternatives to Walmart, HEB has their own brand as well with prices comparable to Walmart, so does Amazon an various other big chains like that. now my issue is setting up the app to purchase from for delivery as that is an absolute must.
