I bought 4 of the original Asus Chromeboxes back in 2014. All 4 are still working fine, but Google stopped updating them years ago as is their custom. I wanted a new Chromebox that would receive the latest updates and browsers, and found that this model was made in Dec 2020 and will not be outdated until Dec 2026 plus it will operate far beyond that. This new model has 5 usb ports with 2 of them being 2.0 which is perfect for you mouse and keyboard and three 3.2 which is perfect for fast data transfers. The browser is much faster than the old chromeboxes, and one of the best features is the wifi receiver which picks up MUCH faster wifi than my old ones. My internet speed on this new Chromebox is double that of my old ones, and I use a wifi connection only for internet. If you want what I consider to be the best, most reliable computer on the market today, I would highly recommend this Chromebox to everyone!

I've had several, none failed, just became obsolete, great maintenance free, no Virus checker needed, no time spent with Hard drive beating itself to death. A good TV box also, can serve as a chrome-cast too. Great for the INet, but PC gaming nerds, heave stuff, need more. Best computer if your not into computers, low learning curve, plug and play.

I don't do a lot of processor intensive work, mainly web based activities. The entry level Celeron based Chromebox 4 is easily fast enough to do anything I've tried.

I bought this computer to replace my chromebase. I have been impressed. I recently added more RAM and I love this computer.

I bought this chromebox about six weeks ago and it has been a pleasure to use. It is quite fast and has a reasonable number of ports. Android apps run well and have been no issue. For submitting this review I am receiving a warranty extension from ASUS.

Around november 2022, I decided to buy the Asus Chromebox 4 in order to replace my old Chromebit. I am very happy to share the amazing improvements made by Asus in the "small sized" computing systems. If you do not have a lot of space for a desktop computer, this is the must have solution to that issue. The Chromebox 4 works as fast as any desktop and you can take it on trips involving hotel stays, in order to not miss any of your computer working needs. The box is very compact, it can connect to any monitor type in the market today, yes even smart tvs, and it has a lot of USB ports to connect your wireless mouse and keyboard, your external memory drives, and, if you desire, a MCSD card to transfer your smart phone data. The wonderful partnership with Google allows the Chromebox to be, in effect, a Chromebook. It starts up quickly, updates seamlessly and you have access to all great things Google provides; specially, the efficient security. Of course, in this world nothing is perfect, so the only draw backs are that it does not seem to have a save screen like the IBM clone systems run by microsoft and that it does not idle and "wake up" by pressing any keyboard key. However, I do not know about you, but to me, it is a very minor pair of issues when taking the awesome advantages into account.

It took a while to get up and running because of monitor problems. But after that I am very pleased with it very fast and it does what I need it to do.
