ASUS ExpertCenter D700SC Desktop PC, Intel Core i7-11700, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Black, Windows 11 Home, D700SC-WH704

This home PC is fast with lots of RAM and disk space. The graphics are superb and it has many usb ports for accessories. I added a wireless mouse and keyboard.

I bought this to replace a 15 year old HP that started with Windows 7, upgraded to 10. This came with Windows 11 out of the box, so no DL or upgrade required. The speed and performance is what I expected, fast! I'm not a gamer, I watch a few streaming videos, check email and do online banking. This Asus is perfect! I can do so much more wirelessly now, and there are a metric F-ton of USB ports! The only thing that was disappointing was that the wireless adaptor is an external device. It's not that a big deal though. The device has a magnetic base and can be easily secured to the case, so it doesn't get lost. Over all, I am impressed by Asus (usually an HP guy, but that's a different post). The price for this model was the best I could find on the net for a machine with these specs. I paired it with a 32" curved monitor, OMG!! If you are looking for a SFF desktop, you should definitely consider this Asus model.

Very impressive Asus computer, obtained at a super bargain price from Walmart. Connectivity is almost astonishing as it accommodates everything from basically ancient legacy to current state of the art equipment. Has PS-2 sockets for technically archaic mice and keyboards including my venerable decades-old BTC mini keyboard, has VGA and HDMI,s a plethora of USBs, audio and microphone inputs - about all that is not present is a DVI output Performance - Windows 11 presents its own advantages and challenges. - wish that Microsoft had continued to develop XP instead of bloated upgrades. Customising some functions is either simple, or complicated and requiring user ingenuity. Installing my Dell laser printer occupied a few hours of frustrated attempts, finally managed for it to work almost accidentally. One unsettling aspect of Windows 11 is that it somehow resurrected documents, shortcuts to items and the items themselves, and other information that I had not used since Windows 7 even though I had previously set up those OSs for non-disclosure, indicating user-unwanted data gathering by MS. Asus starts quickly, usable desktop appears within about 10-15 seconds and runs very quickly as would be expected from its specifications. However, it is interesting that my archaic 2009 E-Machines 1331 which runs Linux Sparky accomplishes the same tasks in about the same amount of time and is quieter, despite that machine having to be scrapped and consigned to recycling if attempting to use it with current versions of Windows. Opening the computer and accessing its internal components is very easily done. It should be a simple matter to upgrade it as there are open expansion mainboard and memory slots along with board plug in sockets. With the SSD actually being a plugged-in module what formerly was the actual hard drive cage is now vacant and can be used for mounting upgrade hardware components. Asus disadvantages - the video adapter has problems at startup with my 32 inch HP monitor as the image is distorted and runs across the screen unless I do not switch on the monitor until about 15 seconds after computer startup, and the computer cooling fan apparently has the speed being temperature-controlled and is quiet in non intensive tasks but becomes rather noisy when computer resources are taxed. All in all, this Asus is impressive. Build quality is excellent, and it is interesting that so much capability is accommodated in the small form factor case - and yet with internal space available for upgrades.

Big thing for me is the size ... I just cant cover my whole desk with a big desktop, this one is really even smaller than you think it is ... still has the performance I need and it's easy for me to upgrade and add more storage ... definitely would recommend ...

Very happy with the Expertcenter! I just can't get my work done on a laptop--not enough ports. But this desktop gives me all the USB ports I need, an SD card reader on the front, everything I need right out of the box.

i dont understand your system im 70yrs old so im just not good any more at this stuff i like the way it looks but im just to old to figure this system if i could find someone who knows how to get this all to work might be a good thing

Used once didnt start up the second time. Had to take it to the local computer shop. He charge me an arm and a leg but got it working. The memory boards were bad and there was another issue with the main board and it doesn't have a disc drive.
