Looks greats, heatsinks everywhere to keep the equipment cool. Able to have two M.2 SSDs run on the PCIe 5.0 bus that is connected directly to the CPU without losing graphics card bandwidth. Can add more M.2 SSDs on the two PCIe 4.0 x4 sockets. All the M.2 SSDs have heatsinks & the M.2_1 has a VERY thick heatsink to help tame those future fast 5.0 M.2 NVMe drives. Has the Q-code read-out, that shows you the codes as it boots up & then goes to showing you the CPU package temp. Has an intel I225-v 2.5Gb Lan & intel WI-FI 6E AX210 160MHz & intel Bluetooth 5.2 People are saying price as a con. I don't see it this way. If you are like most people and either upgrade every 3 or 5 years, then this isn't expensive. Plus, if you add in that AMD usually runs several CPU upgrades for at least 3 years or possibly 5 years, so again I don't see the issue with price, especially considering the quality product also. Only other item I see to address is the lack of the 10Gb Lan, which it seems all the reviewers are up in arms over. Honestly, what average person is going to have a 10Gb connection? a business? If that's the case, then it's a non-issue, because this board is aimed at gamers/enthusiast which will have 1Gb or 2Gb Lan, or the few that may have 5Gb Lan. I myself have 1Gb fiber, & I can tell you this is the fastest NIC I have ever had, it's been doing downloads at 900MB/s if the server I am hooked to can handle that speed. This board is an absolute beast! As with all my past ASUS boards, I just build the computer & every time the computer POSTs with no problems, then you get to do your first BOIS setup. I was smart this time & had already downloaded the newest BIOS 805 to a thumb drive. I was so glad I did this, because the BIOS on the board was 5xx or something, so no big deal, just ran the BIOS update in BIOS & poof! its working even better with the new BIOS. Also make sure you update the BIOS first before you start tinkering with all the cool settings, because it won't POST and will hang at a 00 code. So, this happened to me & the board warns you up front, however I figured in the past I didn't need to do that, so it should be ok, right? Wrong, had to reset BIOS to factory defaults, then it would POST again, then did BIOS update & then everything is fine. Only minor gripe I have is the long POST time. The system has to initialize the ram every time, no matter how stable it is. So, first boot was like 1 minute & got into BIOS. Now, it's like 30-45 seconds & then POSTs. So, I am hoping that the people in charge of BIOS updates makes it to where it doesn't need to go thru the whole memory initialization/memory training every time you reboot. Maybe have it skip that process after like 5 successful POSTs & then go back to memory initialization/training if you make changes to memory in BIOS. Other than that small gripe, this board is great & has been stable from day one on first boot up & HIGHLY recommend this board to anyone wanting a premium board that is one that wants to do CPU updates only in the future, because this board will be a beast for years to come.

Asus ROG motherboards are always the nicest. I have this board in my 1st build (Ryzen 7900x, ROG Strix LC RTX 3090ti, G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 6000Mhz) and it's gorgeous. I have no complaints other than I wish all your components didn't cover up the board so you could see it more.

Beauty and POWER. It has all the features and lanes needed for my 7900X and M.2 only storage. Flawlessly overclocks my Dominator 6000mhz AMD Expo memory too!!

Board installed seemlessly with no issues. Posted on first try and recognised everything connected

Supports all the peripherals need for extreme graphics gaming. Also, plenty of room for high end parts.

I love my Hero MB, easy to use and OC. My only thing is for brighter LEDs but other than that , buy it again for another AMD CPU.

except the bios that could be a bit better as far as labeling what stuff is lol other than that it's a great board runs my system very well with my 4090 rt and ryzen 9950x

Cons first: FIRST, most AM5 motherboards have poor compatibility with DDR5 RAM and it is unfortunate. In order to get 4 dimms of ram to run at its advertised speed I had to buy a specific set of RAM, and that's okay I can understand that somewhat although the LEXAR set I purchased has its warranty sticker on the front of the DIMM.... OK fine, fine, it's whatever.. I guess. Also... A point that is a deterrent potentially are the BOOT TIMES which even after fiddling with the set settings in the BIOS to stop memory retraining and all the nine yards, if I try to run the computer app it's specified speeds or overclock (of course) I find the boot times are doubled or tripled which is also kind of still okay... it's only like 2 minutes total AFTER system boot optimization. The price is a bit too steep now especially at this point to be enticing enough in my opinion if you are seeking the best which will be the best FOR A WHILE if you catch my drift. THAT ALL BEING SAID I have some of the highest quality parts could possibly purchase at the moment and I still find it somewhat ridiculous that it has been so difficult to make them all work together. what should be a plug and play project turned into months of finding the correct parts AND THAT'S NOT ASUS'S FAULT NECESSARILY! All that being said... with this board and only this board I was able to break the world record in Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme in 3D Mark. I beat the score for times by by 160 something points.. and I did it first try. with no other board was I able to get my 4080 RoG strix to be stable at any frequency higher than 150mhz clock and 420mhz memory clock. with this card I was able to max out the memory slider, it also added another 70 MHz of stability on the normal clocks although I ended up with a lower score if I went past 191 so... I am now a world record holder Im The Nemesis after all :) All the quick releases are amazing and the hardware for toolless and easy SSD replacement are awesome to have. Being able to identify which generation of PCIE and NVMe per socket are great for testing! some GPUs like the 4080 and 4090 benefit from auto versus a dedicated setting, it may be negligible because no one really notices those two or even 12fps in SOME circumstances. The bios button as well as the CMOS on the back panel are extremely useful especially during setup if you plan on using a less compatible set of RAM. I think it's an AMD thing. Or rather an AM5\x670 and DDR5. lastly, I am able to run nearly anything that any workload can throw at this me pretty readily, ha.. I'm confident in this motherboard stability after having to use other hardware companies or motherboard manufacturers' software... both in OS and in BIOS ASUS takes the cake for Best software hands down. very user friendly, I only wish that I could reskin like you can with MSI afterburner (you might be able to I haven't really looked too too much)

Board does what I want it to do. Works well with my 7950x. Knocking a star off due to how silly motherboard prices are and the leap in price required to get certain features or even just simple aesthetic changes. Other than that, I am pleased with it.

Overall very happy with the purchase was deciding between x670e vs x870.. decide to stick with the x670e since price point was good. Only thing I don't like is the learn memory at startup sometimes takes forever but that seems to be an asus issue than this motherboard
