It's fast, it's portable, it's convertible. It's probably as close to a no-compromises laptop as one can get, but there are still a few compromises. The 4k 60Hz monitor makes for a gorgeous image, but does not handle motion as well as I had hoped. A higher refresh rate model might be a better pick for the screen, despite the 4k model's slight advantage in color space. Secondly, the screen on my unit has warped a little with extremely light use. This does not functionally affect the laptop or the experience during use, but is visible when the laptop is closed as a gap between the bottom center of the screen and the lower chassis. Lastly, you cannot just unplug and go as you could with a larger laptop that has an internal GPU. You have to first disable the eGPU in software, or risk crashing applications that were using the GPU or, though I have not experienced one myself, blue screens. It isn't the right computer for everyone, but for those who need a high performance machine to drive a desktop setup that can also travel with them on the go and convert to a pen tablet, there is no other comparable offering on the market and I have already recommended it to friends.
