Amazing case, beautiful, which v is what I wanted. The metal hinges for the main door weren't machined properly which caused difficulty installing the install and scratched the case. Not a big deal. Most motherboards don't have two internal usb 3.0 pin headers or two internal female usb type c ports, so a pcb for the front panel or a link to buy one world be nice. I didn't revive stars because I believe my complaints are a unique case and not applicable to most purchasers.
Overview and First Impressions The ROG Hyperion GR701, part of ASUS's Republic of Gamers (ROG) series, is a full-tower case designed for maximum performance and aesthetics. It won the 2023 Red Dot Product Design Award, reflecting its innovative design and high-quality construction. For users like myself, who prioritize both form and function, this case delivers an impressive first impression with its sleek, modern look and robust build. Design and Aesthetics The case features an X-shaped front with large die-cast aluminum handles, not only adding to its futuristic aesthetic but also providing practical utility for carrying its substantial weight (over 20 kg). The dark-tinted tempered glass side panels, with a thickness of 4mm, offer a sophisticated view of the internal components, while black anodized aluminum accents enhance the premium feel. The lift-off hinges on the side panels, secured by magnets, ensure easy access without tools, aligning with contemporary design trends. This combination makes it a visual centerpiece, perfect for showcasing on social media or in a gaming setup. Build Quality and Durability Built like a tank, the Hyperion GR701 uses high-end materials, including a sand-cast textured aluminum cage with integrated feet. According to ASUS, the frame can support up to 80 kg of hardware, ensuring stability even with the heaviest components. This durability is crucial for long-term use, especially for users upgrading their systems frequently. The case's weight, while significant, underscores its over-engineered design, making it feel like a premium investment. Cooling and Ventilation Cooling is a standout feature, with support for dual 420mm radiators (one front, one top), ideal for liquid cooling setups. It ships with four 140mm fans (three front, one rear exhaust), ensuring excellent airflow to keep components cool during intense gaming sessions. Reviews highlight its ability to maintain low temperatures without noise, even under heavy loads, which is essential for high-performance builds. The top grid can accommodate up to four 140mm fans, with an integrated fan hub for easy management, making it a dream for thermal enthusiasts. Hardware Compatibility The case is highly adaptive, fitting E-ATX motherboards (up to 12″ x 10.9″) and graphics cards up to 460 mm long and 130 mm thick, both horizontally and vertically. This versatility is perfect for accommodating large GPUs like the ROG Strix RTX 4090. The interior offers ample space for diverse hardware setups, including multiple drives and expansion slots, ensuring compatibility with future upgrades. An integrated aluminum graphics card holder prevents sagging, adding to its practicality for high-end builds.
Simply one of the best cases I've ever own. Built a new system and it's almost entirely ROG products, love this ecosystem.
Love this tower and how much space it has. Plenty of room for future upgrades.
This case is a big one, but very well constructed and looks amazing. I love the side panels, and how easy it is to open them just to make quick adjustments or remove them if I need to do more detailed work on the PC. The only issue I had is that I own an EATX motherboard that has alot of the connections on the right side of the motherboard (ROG MAXIMUS EXTREME). It was hard to make the connections because I did not know that the GPU holder part could be removed. Once I removed it I had enough space to make all the connections. But that's just a minor issue, the case is very easy to work with and once finished it looks beautiful. Everyone that sees it is always surprised by the looks.
Had a over heating issue with my other case. This one has two swinging glass door open them anytime and its cool inside.
Plenty of room left over after installing everything and visually looks great.
Beautiful case! My only complaint is the left side access door came loose out of the box and after tighting the hinge screws it still does not stay shut like the right side door.
Its awesome case I just wish it came with rgb fans in it would look so cool
Didn't have the top mount for fan brackets also missing one of the feet covers for the back
