Arion is extremely well built with a good weight and feel to it. The lighting is a nice bonus and works well with Aura sync and my Strix 15 and Flare kb. All colors match and and really ties them together when in use. I would love to see a dock for it as well. Throughput speeds are top notch, temps were perfectly fine after a couple of drive cloning tasks and it just feels very solid which is reflected in its price, but you are getting what you pay for. As a product it's great but despite ROG being in the name of it, ASUS does not classify this as a ROG device and will not count towards their rewards program. Just a heads up.

It work very well to operate a PCIe when connected to a computer. The design appears great (EXCEPT for the door/lid). Extremely sturdy (EXCEPT for the door/lid) and rugged, great for heat dissipation IF the door/lid would only close securely. But there is simply not enough room for a PCIe inside. Tried multiple PCIe's - a Black 770, a Black 850 and a Samsung 990 Pro. The door/lid would not close completely for any of them. The heat pad appeared to just be too thick to allow room for them. I don't know if this is a defective unit (I suspect it is) or design defect. It is inconceivable it would still be on the market if it's a design defect. But I'm not taking a chance and returning it. I can't take the chance of waiting another delivery cycle and finding out the basic design is flawed and having to wait again. PS it is fairly large and heavy considering the size of a PCIe. But that's probably unavoidable if you want good heat dispersion which is my key goal. The door closes and latches very securely if nothing is inside. Of course it's useless that way.
