Great keyboard with a couple of features that are definitely worth it. The animation screen isn't too bad. You can customize it to your liking with a few options. I like that I can plug my wireless mouse dongle into the extra USB you get. The RGB is eye catching with smooth animations. I got the brown switches and I am happy with them, but you can switch them out if you want. This keyboard has replaceable keycaps and switches. The keycaps have a nice texture to them that I really like. I would definitely recommend this keyboard is you are looking for a quality keyboard that has some standout features.

This keyboard is brilliant. The key spacing is comfortable, the switches are nice and firm with subtle clicking sound when pressed, and the Animatrix array thst allows you to make LED gifs is very cool to use. The RGB works well (aiming at the negative reviews about Armoury Crate and Aura Aync) once you get the device fully updated in AC. The packaging is Elite and comes with stickers and ROG swag. Lastly, the quality of the USB cables are amazing. 9.5/10. Would definitely recommend to a friend or customer.

Great keyboard, very comfortable. I would have loved a white version but I love this one. I recommend it for lovers of rog products. Worth every penny.

The ROG Strix Flare II Animate mechanical keyboard is almost perfect for me. Besides being a full scale keyboard, my favorite format, the additional functions available are laid out exactly where they should be. With a mouse in my right hand, the media controls are readily available by my left hand. It makes for a natural feel while gaming or consuming media. The mechanical switches that came installed in the keyboard functioned flawlessly. However, they weren't to my liking. But, this keyboard comes with the tools to pull the key caps and switches so you can install whatever switches that suit you. I've installed some excellent switches from Gateron, no issues at all. The removal of the original switches and installation of the new switches was very easy with the included tools, and the new switches function perfectly in the keyboard. Finally, the lighting and Animatrix feature. I am controlling the lighting via the Asus Armory Crate software. It is a very user friendly software. The total suite of tools and interface tools are sufficient for handling whatever fun things you want to do with the lights. As for the Animatrix feature, it is so very capable. Asus has a huge host of animations you can download. The ONE thing I'd love to have, that isn't present. I would like to have more options for system monitor readouts. CPU temp, FPS, and all that. I'm currently just using the AMF Adrenaline software overlay (the little overlay in the upper right corner that you switch on and off with CTRL+SHIFT+O) and it works fine. So for now, since it's convenient, I just leave the time visible. If you like a full size keyboard, mechanical switches, and all the customizing you can handle, then pick up this keyboard. It IS worth the money.

I have purchased this keyboard to replace another that was failing. It is very precise with good tactile feel. There are many RGB adjustments but it was tricky to figure out how to configure. Once configured it works nicely. The key placement is just right as well.

for me, builds quality is very good, feels premium and rgb lighting is nice easy to manage. it build hot swap keycaps which is good for long time used. my only problem that i faced is armoury crate lost the device detection in argb sync device and support driver after quite sometime that is. iam not sure though what causes this. overall iam really statisfied with this product.

I have had many a keyboard in my life. I can say this is one where you can actually feel the quality as soon as you take it out of the box. The key action is excellent with good spacing and a tactical feel. Attention to detail even applies to the cord sheath which allows it to lay flat and straight versus plastic covered cords which always have that wrapped up memory. Lastly the lighting effects are a plus. On the downside, this is pricey so I have high expectations for its longevity.

Great Keyboard with with cool Animated screen that can be customized however you like but the software "Armoury Crate" drags everything down. It took me about 4 installs to get the software to run correctly and once it is fully installed it has way too much intrusive programs always running in the background, taking up a ton of ram and cpu usage.

Great keyboard but I wish the program gor RGB had more options there no way to set mote then one RGB mode at a time like other brands... But the keyboard its self is VERY good quality and sounds very nice. I also wish Asus would put a storepage ip for there replacement keys
