Asus ROG XG Mobile (2023)

I've been bragging to my friends since I got it. Paired with the ROG Ally this is a game changer. 10 out of 10 would recommend

This is great if you have the ROG Ally and you want to also have a very capable desktop computer. I replaced my aging desktop with this addition. Now my Ally excels as my mobile gaming platform, and my daily computer/gaming desktop.

The ridiculous performance boost I get from this thing made everything worth it for me. This is also the best dock you can get other than being a mobile egpu. I highly recommend it for some serious boost in graphics performance.

Getting 144fps on max settings in MWIII. How is this even possible? I have no idea but this little box has turned my ROG Ally into an absolute beast and replaced my regular desktop machine.

The Asus ROG XG Mobile is good because you can take it anywhere and combined with the Asus ROG FLOW you have a portable beast and now I am waiting for the ASUS ROG XG Mobile 2025 to buy it and take advantage of its power

I am loving this thing it is so powerful my games look amazing I just got a QLED 4K TCL TV from Best Buy on a deal and it is never looked better. I can't believe I've been holding off so long and settling for less when this thing is just incredible, when I use the GeForce experience app and it optimizes all the settings for me, I don't have to worry about picking one wrong choice and having it affect my whole playability the software is incredible and it does such great things that increase the way we can play our games! I use mine with an ROG allay extreme, and there has been some stuff that I noticed, which is why it's four stars instead of five. For example, I did have to tinker with the settings quite a bit uninstall armory crate, find this other program that takes its place, but it is a little more simple mess with the windows, settings, the graphic settings, the going to GeForce Disabling a lot of things.

I have this connected to my ROG Ally and its perfect.. i love the power, everything can do ultra in 4k, of course at a fps thats pretty low but good enough for me which most games will do from 30 to 40 fps maxed out on everything even in cyberpunk 2077 with DLSS Super Resolution on.. this thing does get very very loud but of course it has to especially since i push this to the max and handles everything soo good.. happy got this product and yes its expensive but portable like the Ally and its the smallest, most reliable pc i have and worth it all.

Gives desktop level performance, but the system is still clunky. When I plug the XG mobile in, sometimes I need to restart the laptop so it reads the XG mobile. There are also times when the XG mobile causes my external monitor to blink several times and falter between HDR and normal Displayport settings. It can get annoying when working, and definitely unplayable when playing games. I am hoping that ASUS can improve Armory Crate as well as behind-the-scenes software patches to better improve the connectivity of the device with the Flow devices. HOWEVER, when it works, it WORKS. Amazing performance. Definitely planning on keeping this for the next few years, as long as ASUS keeps updating the software support. Don't give up on the Flow line ASUS. Lifelong customer of this company and I love the direction it is going for innovation.

I bought this with the intent to play Battleifeld 2042 . It lags like crazy randomly. I sadly wasted a lot of money on something I really didnt need. I should have just bought the ROG NUC 2025 instead. I would love it if you could send me one and I will send you the ROG XG mobile back.

Great performance. Sound is reasonable when running at limits. Price though is too much for what you get and the connect/disconnect sequence is very buggy and finicky. Definitely requires work on the software end to get it to work better and more seamlessly.
