Last part needed to finish my new pc. Runs cool and no need to change the fan curve or overclock, most games run close to 200 fps @ 3440x1440 with very high settings. It does draw 300 watts but remains cool and quiet. the support part that came with the card was very well made but didnt work with my pc so I 3D printed a support bracket for the end of the card, my power supply is on the bottom of my all aluminum case.
Service was insanely quick and easy, the packaging felt fancy and cool despite the ASUS TUF being the cheapest option available, and the card itself runs everything like a dream.
This card was my upgrade card from a Strix 3080ti, the strix 4080 and 4090 are to rich for my blood.
Runs great, plays most games at 144+fps on 1440p max(no RT) settings. temps have never been over 72°(no OC). its not too loud at 100% fan speed.
Nice card runs very cool, very fast FPS. Beware of windows 11 updates that slow the fps down.
A very easy install once I had case able to handle the length if the card. The card itself is awesome. And the included stand-off cone in handy when worried about the weight of the card and it possibly causing issues down the road. The card is a beast as it is out if the box. Best card I have had so far. Running it on an Asus ROG Strix Z790 board.
I like this graphics card not only because of the speed and it is the latest but that is from a company that I trust in all of my custom computer builds. I find that they last an extremely long time, my last one it's still going after 7 years, and that when it comes to installation I have never had an issue.
Aweome Graphics Card!!! The Asus 4080 TUF Gaming graphics card is a huge step up from my Nvidia 2080. Performance is fantastic and ray tracing, where the future is, is a big step up that AMD cannot touch even with their new cards. I am so glad I bought the Asus 4080. The card stays super cool even when overclocked. The TUF card looks so good in my system and blows the competition away. Great job Asus!!
I was bouncing between a couple of different options when it came to building my high end gaming (with a splash of productivity) rig, and eventually landed on the Asus Tuf 4080. It's an absolute unit of a card, stretching 348 mm in length, and surrounded by metal armor plating (truly Tuf!). Luckily had no issue fitting it into my NZXT H7 Flow. I bought this particular one as something I plan on keeping in my system for hopefully 5 years. When it comes to power and efficiency, this card is hard to beat. The wattage is only about 50 more than the 3070 I had in my system, and the temperatures while gaming at 4k 60 in games like Dead Space, Control, and Cyberpunk 2077 hover around 60-65c. My next big upgrade will be a 120hz television to take full advantage of features like frame generation. My biggest issue with the card would have to be it's coil whine. It's very noticeable while playing games like Cyberpunk and I'm afraid it's only gotten worse over time. Still debating on whether or not I should've gone for the 7900XTX variant that comes with 24 gbs of vram instead of 16gb Nvidia model. They both have their pros and cons, but I'm left wondering which is more future proof.
Performance of this GPU is really great. But there is one issue whenever GPU is under load it produces a loud coil whine thats the only downside of tuf series GPU's
