Great laptop for the money. Laptop is quick and very modern looking. Speakers are very loud and clear and color is acceptable. Screen is not glossy but the display quality is fair for this laptop's price point. The only issue I see with this laptop may be that the power adapter port on this laptop may give way with heavy use. Every laptop I've purchased within the past five years, within this price point, the power port is usually the first to go on the machine. But I purchased Walmart's three year protection plan. With that said, this issue should not be a big deal. Laptop fan is usually quiet unless you have a lot of applications open or are playing games. Great quality laptop. You won't be disappointed!
it is a good laptop at a good price. please note the battery doesn't last for 10 hrs, and the 4 GB ram is not enough for today's regular tasks. so you need to upgrade the ram memory and the storage service if you want. you can buy an 8GB-DDR4-2400MHz 260 Pin SO-DIMM RAM for $30 and increase the ram up to 12 GB. I found this series of laptop can support up to 20 GB ram, so if you buy a 16 GB ram instead, you can have 20GB ram in total. to open the back cover please see some good youtube videos, since it is not easy and a bit tricky.
Super fast and HD laptop. It is a cheap but good laptop. I got it to work from home in the middle of the COVID-19 emergency. It has a easy and fast set up and the transition between task is super smooth.
Great laptop for a great price. If you're in the market for a laptop suitable for a college student this is it. I'm not into gaming but this does everything fairly well. Lightweight and a great value!
Solid laptop, over 4100 cpubenchmark, onboard 4Gb ram and ssd make it feel very fast! The best of all is FHD give very detail of pictures. And very easy to upgrade RAM and SSD. With this price, so happy to have it.
You're not going to get a better laptop for under 300 dollars right now. We needed another laptop with the 2nd grader starting back to school as online for the first few weeks. Searched multiple sites and no one else had anything this nice within a hundred bucks. Options within 20 or 30 bucks either didn't have a FHD screen or had memory that couldn't be expanded or had processors nor nearly as good. I added another stick of memory to the laptop which took about 2 minutes. The 4 gigs it has is the absolute minimum you'd want on a Windows 10 computer and you'll notice a significant improvement with at least another 4. I added 8 just because that's what I had laying around.
All around it's awesome definitely will need some more ram and space but for work or even light gaming it's a good laptop and was worth the price!
I am very pleased with the purchase of this laptop and the ease of setting it up and able to run a lot of programs and such with out that many discs to do it
The specs are great for the price, it is small for a 15" computer, and when the computer works it performs very well. Unfortunately, since I bought it I've had problems with it regularly freezing and requiring a hard reboot. This happens just about every time I use the computer; sometimes it freezes up after a few minutes and sometimes after an hour or two, but it's rare that I get through a session without at least one hard reboot. I've talked to ASUS tech support twice, run system diagnostics, reset to factory settings, updated the BIOS and drivers, etc., and ASUS says my only option is to mail it to them and that it will take at least two weeks to get it back. I've owned several laptops over the years (all Dell and HP) and have never trouble with any of them. Not sure if I just got a dud or if there is a problem with this model. Hopefully I just got a bad one because if it worked consistently it would be a great computer.
I purchased this laptop with hopes of my high schooler using it for the upcoming school year. Since receiving it three days ago, the touchpad has gone out everyday! It works for a while and then quits! I contacted ASUS support and they gave me solutions that were temporary, but not long lasting. I'm extremely disappointed and will be returning it.
