An Asus ROG G75V was my choice after much research 9 years ago. That clunker was still serving my needs for performance except for speed. I didn't want to press my luck when it comes to a failure so chose Asus again after more research. Experiencing some growth pains with all the bells and whistles but I chalk that up to old age. I love the improvements to the display, keyboard and mousepad/numeric keypad. The Zenbook Pro Duo should keep me entertained and serving my needs until I turn 110.
Incredible laptop. Get the "4k" version and not the "1080p/FHD" version. The upgraded display is practically necessary to really unlock the potential of the device.
So far the computer has been great. I haven't had any issues other than the screen flickering the first couple of times I turned it on. But that has seemed to have cleared up.
It's great. Very fast and pretty. When you touch the screen, it does stuff. The number pad is quite nifty too.
Very nice computer. Benchmark tests did not show very well for gaming though.
This laptop has Bluetooth connectivity issues, such that the audio stutters, or there is no audio at all, suddenly. ALL my Bluetooth headphones and earbuds lose connectivity and stutter on this device only, and they work just fine on my other devices (PC, Mac, and phone) and the same operating system. Neither Windows troubleshooter nor any online problem-solving tips have helped. All drivers and firmware are up to date.
Love the Duo Screen. The Computer Froze On me already a few times and had to reset, battery life gets zapped pretty quick, witch is to be expected when im running both screens at max brightness. Its a little thicker than i expected and i don't seem to be able to run apps like i could on my HP. Other than that. I'm very impressed. Love the screens.
To begin, the unboxing process was promising when I realized that, in addition to the included, unexpected accessories that shipped with the laptop, the external aesthetics of the laptop itself were quite attractive. However, after first opening the laptop to power it on, inside of being able to enjoy what looks to be a beautifully designed device, my attention was immediately hijacked by the missing power on/off key. The power on/off key in the upper right corner of the keyboard board was not attached and could not be "popped" back in place. The key not only feels cheap in quality, several other keys also feel like they are hanging on to the keyboard by a thread. Another design issue exists with the tilted base that is supposed to be attached to the bottom of the ZenBook. The problem with attaching the tilted base to the bottom of the ZenBook is that it covers almost half of the grill on the laptop that appears to be for ventilation, I suppose. And as for the usefulness of the tilted, attachable base, when used, it throws the balance of the laptop off causing it to rock backwards when doing something as simple as typing on the keyboard. The one saving grace is that the ZenBook is fast and the second (or Duo) screen is actually useful. You will need to determine though if you feel comfortable paying the high price for this laptop that intends to be innovative in it's design and features, while not having mastered the basic tenet of quality components nor quality control... At least as it pertains to the ZenBook Pro Duo.
Great computer but when received I encountered the blue screen error stop code which made my laptop restart several times and had to return due to this problem. Hopefully my exchange won't have the same problem. Other than that I love the product!
I had to restart or turn off the computer, almost everyday for 2 months, external monitors would only work for a few hours. I decided to get a refund
