Atari 2600 - Controller - Joystick (Retro-Bit)

This item gives manufactured obsolescence new meaning. I bought one a couple of years ago and it was so flimsy that it broke with in the first hour or so of use. I am a hard head and not to be beat I opened the darn thing up just to see how flimsy the plastic construction was. I replace all contacts with metal and screws and it is still operating. DO NOT BUY THIS POS.

When I read 1-star reviews, I usually think that person is just mad because they got unlucky and received a defective unit. Believe me, this is not that type of review. I could tell immediately that this was cheaply made and could break easily. So, from the first minute I started using this, I treated it with TLC. I mean, I babied this controller like a newborn infant! I even avoided the games I knew would require a lot of controller movement I only played those games that would let me pay attention to how gentle I was with this controller. It is less fun playing any game when you have to be ever mindful of how much pressure you're exerting on the controller. Well, here it is less than one week since I got this and it's started making cracking noises inside when I move the joystick, and it doesn't always register the movement. I give it another day or two and it will be worthless. I did not get a lemon, this controller is truly a manufactured piece of junk. Trust me.
