Athens Frozen Phyllo Dough Pastry Sheets for Baking, 16 oz Box

I’m not a phyllo expert. I found a recipe on Pinterest and wanted to try it. I got this phyllo dough hoping it would work! It behaved exactly as described it should in the recipe and it turned out great. It was easy to work with, was just the right amount of crisp/crunchy in the bite with the soft layers.

Phillo has sweet and savory uses. There are too many ways too use this like Greek spinach pie(you can use any greens you like ) with fetah. A sweet option is baklava made from walnuts to pistachio, I made a Dubai chocolate baklava for Easter that blew everyone's socks off.Great product, my all time favorite is Austrian apple strudel like my Grannie used to make without the 2 hours of rolling the dough by hand. Use 6 sheets each brushed with butter, works very well for any type of strudel.

cored and chopped apples and pecans, made an apple compote. tole two sheets of dough and buttered each one, added compote down the length of the dough and rolled it up. made the best apple pastry. topped with confectioners surgar. good stuff. from sweet to savory, the possibilities are endless.

Spanakopita is not that hard to make. Buy this and make it. Instead of bringing pasta or something else to an event- bring a tray of spanakopita and everybody loves it. Tip don’t get fancy with the layers just lay er it. And pre-cut it somewhat before you bake it. Bakes perfectly.

Athens Phyllo Dough is so convenient for deserts and savory dishes. It is light and fluffy and flakey. It has great mild flavor which accents fetta cheese, fruit fillings, almond paste and so much more. It is perfect for breakfasts, desserts, and cuts down an preparation time by a ton.

I like to make a Croatian food called budek and I use the phyllo dough for that with ground pork and whatnot but this always works out perfect it comes and thin sheets you definitely want to work fast with it before it dries out but other than that is really good

been buying this to make a easy dinner. i just unroll, roll out alittle. add some ham and cheese and bake. they are so good. the dough is perfect. has a buttery taste. bakes up easy and perfect. i have tried it as a treat yet but i plan too. it makes everything so easy and when your hubgry and dont have alot of time ir are hust tired this is perfect for a good quick bite. theres so much you can do with it. and you just roll out on the paper it comes in. i love the ease of it.

I was extremely disappointed in the product. I bought 4 boxes and out of those, the fyllo in two of the boxes was course and stuck together. I have been using this product for years and this was the first time this has happened to me! The company should have better control and make sure each fyllo sheet separates easily, when fully thawed.

This is probably the worst Philo dough I've ever bought and I should've just stuck with the brand that I usually buy at Apna Agora because this stuff was cheap and I lost over a complete roll due to them, not putting flour in between the each of those sheets, so unfortunately, I was not able to make the dessert like I intended to make and follow the recipe exactly I had to cut it short because of the quality of this filo dough. Don't buy this. It's just gonna give you a headache and I've included a picture of the amount of Filo dough that tore just trying to get the sheets apart

The fillo is a wonderful product; except when each layer of phyllo sticks to each other and rips. That happens when the package of phyllo defrosts or starts to defrost, that is not only frustrating but wasteful too. We buy 2 packages each time we buy phyllo in case we need to use BOTH in order to get enough fillo dough to equal 1 package. Other than that issue, the fillo is great !
