Works great. It can be difficult to get the ball in the right place depending on where you need it, but once you have it down, it's a great way to work out minor knots without having to ask someone else for help. For any individual dealing with a physical impairment of this sort, you'll definitely want to get one of these aides to maintain your independence.
My PT told me to get tennis balls, but they constantly rolled out from my shoulder. I found that I can also use this for a few of my other exercises as well. Handy lil thing!
I thought I was not going to like this. In my head, I thought it would be hard rubbery material but it is not. It is more like the thick soft plastic material that balls that are made to be sat on (used as chair alternatives) or an exercise/ yoga ball. If it would have been hard, I think it would hurt. But it does NOT hurt! The paper that came with the roller (see pic) shows different way to use it and also included is an inflation needle so you can adjust the tension/ inflation. I do recommend this!
Athletic Works Dual Zone Roller shows positive upper back ,shoulder and lower back relief in just minutes. Being on our feet most o the day, the Athletic Works Dual Roller has great relief to the lower back area in just minutes, Works very help on shoulder pain, using most every day. Like is , because so easy too use. Place under shoulder and just roll. same with upper and lower back. Helps Prevent stiffness throughout the back. Come with inflation needle pump, incase lost of air, just add to firmness, easy to clean, with a damp cloth and air dry.
Unusual-looking item could easily be mistaken for a rubber bone dog chewing toy, but is actually an exercise device primarily used for massaging muscles by rolling it under some pressure along a muscle set, in this case primarily the back muscles, though it could be used for any large muscle. I had some potential users try it out on the floor using their weight for pressure against their back muscles, however they reported that resulted in too much pressure on their back. So I tried it by locating it between my back and a vertical wall, which allowed me to control the amount of pressure against my back muscles – and that worked much better. The roller stiffness can be controlled by adjusting the air pressure inside the device, letting air out or inserting more air into the device with an included air pressure inflation needle (the kind used for inflating basketballs and soccer balls.) The device can also be used by a masseuse or other helper who rolls it against your muscles controlling the pressure through their arms and hands. Most people who exercise regularly may find this device beneficial in resolving muscle aches and cramps. All-in-all, a good device to keep handy in the exercise area.
Over 70 working on posture for scoliosis. Former massage therapist, used to use a wooden Ma Roller I lost somewhere. This was really uncomfortable first 3 minutes, then my body adjusted. Wow. Use on carpeted floor and in bed mattress. Use it on neck/head cervical muscles lying against a pillow. I love it. Lowered pain, improved posture. Sore muscles relaxed. Sturdy.
This Athletic Works Dual Back Roller, Back Massager, Muscle Roller is a must have if you have stiffness throughout your back or just want to release tension along the spine. It comes with an exercise chart and an inflation needle in case the inflated roller loses air or you want more firmness. Definitely recommend
The Athletic Works Dual Zone Roller is a hit in my household. I am an avid walker and cycler, so back pain is nothing new to me. After a workout, I often have some lower back pain or shoulder pain. I have found this little roller to be very helpful! The instructions come with three suggested exercises for lower back, shoulder, and upper back. I have been able to perform all three of them without any issue, the lower back exercise being my favorite. The roller is made of fairly rigid plastic and comes already inflated. There is an included attachment if you need to inflate it a little more, you would just need to attach it to a pump. It’s small and portable, perfect for stashing in your gym bag or even your suitcase to take while you’re traveling. My husband who is taller and larger than me has also been able to use it, so I would say that it’s great for different body sizes. If it gets dirty, you can just rinse it off with water and dry with a towel. Overall I would definitely recommend this little roller to anyone who would like some relief from occasional lower back pain!
Smaller roll. Firm feel. Inflation required. Rolling is difficult on floor, sorta uncomfortable. Best for me in standing position against wall. Rolled out back and hip muscles nicely. Felt some relief/relaxation. Recommended exercises included with package. Use only as directed, consult physician if needed. Nice product, maybe a little larger in size.
It is a neat nice zone roller with just the right balance of firmness and bumps that won't be too harsh on your tighten muscles. It comes with a small pin needle in case you need to pump up more air over time. The only drawback is it doesn't fit petite person very well with its standard width. Other than that everything is perfect.
