Athletic Works Men's and Big Men's Woven Running Shorts, 6" and 8" Inseams, Sizes XS-5XL

I struggle with getting athletic shorts because I have bigger legs. Normally they fit great, but when I sit down they'll get tight on my thighs or when they don't the shorts are so thick and bulky. The Athletic Works shorts are lightweight, and due to the slit on the side of the shorts have the capability to fit around my thighs no matter what I'm doing (and still have room!). Not to mention the 8” length is such a happy medium of the extra long shorts and the way too short shorts.

The review title should be 'Great fit for men (and women who don't want their booty cheeks hanging out)', but it was too long to fit in that space. Anywho... Woman here. Big thighs, wide hips, big butt. Yea, I'm not exactly thin. I also have a tendency to run very hot. These shorts are thin material, but they aren't delicate. They're incredibly lightweight. I'm 5'7" and the 2x hit me mid thigh or so. They're very comfortable and wash well (but, I hang to dry). The pockets are typical "men's" pockets... which means that they are deep enough to hold phone, keys, wallet in one pocket. (women reading this know our pockets are usually absolute crap). I would recommend these shorts to anyone.

soft material, light and true to size. draw string makes easier for on/off. bought for all 3 of my sons. Ages 17-11. sizes XXL-Small and one is using them for school while the other is using them for football practice. they are happy with the fit for all occasions

I purchased these items for my 11 yr old son who happens to be on the bigger side for his age and it's been extremely difficult findings things that fit but with the option of the length on these shorts is what made it work for him. The shorts looks great on him, he said it's super comfortable and light weight. Perfect for the hot summer.

I purchased about 6 of these shorts in different colors. The fit and style, along with fast dry fabric and shorter length are my do-all and go-to shorts. These aren't meant as formal wear, but hitting the mall, golfing, fast casual dinners and just something to keep in your bug out bag or vehicle duffle. I'm sure these will last quite a long time. I hate shorts that hang to my knees or bulk me out more than I am. (40" waist here). Just good, all around shorts. imo.

my 18 year old son really liked these shorts, as the 6 inch inseam makes these shorter than usual shorts ...and those short shorts are all the rage now🤣! the price is significantly less than other retailers, which is what pushed me into giving them a try to begin with. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the material could be a little stretchier. they have a minimal amount of give to them, so compared to other ayhletic shorts of a similar style, these are probably not quite as comfortable..

I happened upon these shorts last year (2025). I liked them so much that I ordered more this year (2026). They are the exact same UPC as the previous shorts but they do not fit the same. I then measured the 2025 shorts against the 2026. The legs are cut less wide which explains why the shorts I recently bought do not fit as well as the ones I bought last year. I may consider buying the next size up but have a feeling those might be too big. Online says "runs big" so I have a feeling that might be why they changed the leg hole size...which disappoints me as I was looking forward to owning various colors and pairs. Other than the above issue, these shorts are fantastic. They have 2 pockets on the sides and a zippered pocket in the rear. They are lightweight and dry quickly. They are also very comfortable. The description says "mesh lined" which almost made me not buy them. They are NOT MESH LINED. The pocket has mesh around it but the actual shorts do not.

Just to be clear, I purchased the shorter inseam version. These shorts are extremely comfortable and functional. The material is thin and soft. The cut also allows for extreme leg movements. The zipperback pocket is very practical. Likewise, the material stays dry during my 5K run or throughout the 2hr racquetball game. The only complaint I have is that the fit around the hips could use better tailoring because it makes pleats in the front. I suppose if it's form I'm after, I would have to look for a brand name. Otherwise, this pair of shorts delivers great value and performance.

I don't know where they got the sizes on their sizing chart but OMG they are WAY OFF THE MARK!! Crossing my fingers I can return these to the store. The recent changes in returns do NOT do not very inviting!! Curious to see what happens with this item several other items associated with this order another order as well
