Don't be put off by the idea that you have to assemble a curling bar. There are still probably old school one piece curling bars out there. This bar is everything a person could want. Check out the various hand positions you can grasp and then concentrate on what muscle area you want to work. You're going to get a great workout for a lot of different muscle areas. Your imagination is the only thing that's stopping your success with this bar
No...its not perfect, but thank goodness I have something. People are buying exercise equipment like crazy, then overpricing it. I added some epoxy bond, to the middle joints, and it really seems to have stopped any loose feelings at the joint.
great position for the hands
This product is everything
Great for home gym
Purchased first one in 2008 and its still as sturdy as day one. Changed out the roll pins and it's still going. Purchased the second one in 2024 and its still the same quality and design as the first.
I dont Like the way the bar is put together. I feel it will snap at some point
Rickety as H--l. The review is being flagged for a certain word I want to use with rickety.. My mistake for buying it in the first play not realizing that it was two pieces. Not sure how you can have a two-piece anything with weight on each end of it but the 2 halves of the bar are joined together by one pin that has to be hammered into place. The looseness is so apparent that it gives you the feeling that the bar may fail, literally snapping in half. So now I'm looking for either a welder or some type of steel glue that I can pour into the crevice to solidify the joint. The bar grips are fine and the spin locks are okay as well.
Don't waste your money buying this curl bar. It's made of two pieces of sheet metal that require two pins to be hammered into holes to join them together. Only one pin was included in the box. Also, I had to use a sledge hammer to pound the pin into the poorly machined hole--badly damaging the bar in the process. In short, this is a cheap, shoddily designed curl bar.
Don't buy. The bar comes in two pieces and you need to hammer a pin into the middle. However, once the pin is in, and you use the bar to work out, the bar will shift during your reps it shifts mildly which creates a jerking sensation while you're lifting weights. Garbage product
