The length is great for longer legs. They are comfortable. They wash up well without getting all balled up. They have a good stretch to them which makes them comfortable when moving around and completing tasks around the house.
These are absolutely my go-to shorts. I wear them to work out in, go shopping or just staying home. I have about 6 pair of black ones that I have had for years and was pleased to see a few other colors, this being a dark brick red color. The fabric content 90% cotton, 10% spandex is everything to me. They wash up so well, don't pill and are so much more comfortable than thise with high nylon, polyester, or spandex contents.
The Danskin Now Women's Plus Active Bike Shorts are so comfortable and I highly recommend these and I am able to more comfortably. The fit is perfectly and I cannot wait to order more of these from there website. I have no complaints. I will also use these for work because we can wear black shorts with tennis shoes with the children.
These, "Athletic Works Women's Plus Size Active Bike Shorts" are extremely comfortable. These fit true to size and no matter weather I'm riding my bike, walking, rowing, lifting weights or whatever, I never feel any constrictions while wearing them because the material stretches with me. The material they are made of wicks the moisture from my body. They are made well with quality materials and feel like they will last a long time as well as look great.
I absolutely love the feel of this fabric. So soft. The fit is phenomenal. The easy give of the material is incredible, and I really like the wide waistband. Where have these things been all my life? I could have used these several summers ago during the (hotter than steam) drought.
I love how comfortable these shorts are and they fit true to size. They are well made with a crotch rather than just a seam. They are knee length which is exactly what I was looking for and with a lot a stretch and recovery, they look and feel good all day and night. These are the perfect shorts and I ordered another pair. These will be great for the summer!
I got these shorts because I was looking for something comfortable to exercise and do house work in and these fit that bill. They are stretchy yet form nicely to the body. I've washed them a number of times and they maintain their stretch and color. They come to just above my knee. As a plus-sized woman they don't ride up my thighs when I walk, and I appreciate that very much! I'm also able to pull them onto my stomach and they don't fall or slide down off my stomach when I walk either. I appreciate that, as well! I got poked by a nail on a door while trying to enter my home and got a hole in the shorts. I was concerned the hole would spread. Surprisingly, the fabric is stable enough to where, even between washings, the hole hasn't gotten any larger and I'm still able to wear the shorts. Good fabric and good shorts. The directions say to wash in cold water, but I wash mine in warm and hot water. I have not experienced any shrinkage by doing that. It also says to tumble dry low. Again, I have not experienced any shrinkage. I encourage anyone buying it to launder them as directed. But the warm/hot water works for me.
Thank goodness these were available in one size too large for me, because I have never assimilated with the style of tight fitting, body-shape revealing pants. The bigger size gives me some loose material for concealment as I prefer. I can be more comfortably active with a slightly loose but stretchy fit and a long top to cover up. So comfortable at the waistline, the material is as durable as, yet not rough like, jean cotton with a metal zipper and button. The wide, covered, flat elastic makes it easy to pull on the shorts quickly. These Bike Shorts are cool and breathable cotton with very comfortable and relaxing stretch from some spandex. They will not overstretch since the percentage of spandex is low. Instead of exercising, my chore life brings me to many different movement requirement tasks. These shorts let me reach up, bend for a long time picking up weeds and sticks, rake and pick up a pile, and move along vigorously trimming branches, or pushing or riding the mower. The Danskin Now Bike Shorts are hardy enough not to tear or rip, and I can perform all the work while hardly needing to adjust the shorts. With no need to pull the waist up, pull the legs down, or shift the shorts around, I can keep actively going and get finished sooner. No tag on the waistband prevents the scratchy itch a stiff label can cause. My activities are very important therefore, the correct apparel for the work is essential. Danskin Now is an apparel line that suits my needs, fits with all the comfort there could possibly be, and is plenty rugged and tough for accomplishing the hard work. The short's color of indigo blue is exactly the color of real indigo. It is not navy dark but dark enough that outdoor stains do not show up—perfect, and a beautiful shade. The length keeps my thighs covered and the shorts go to a couple of inches above the tops of my knees which I like. The thickness is medium and does not feel hot due to the good cotton fabric and wonderful added moisture absorbing properties. The fabric strength prevents snags, wrinkles, and stretching out. All I could wish for would be one pocket or a material hook for keys, however, my shirt pocket is good enough for that when wearing these really nice shorts.
I have not worn bike shorts in ages. I do often wear tights under long shirts. So, wearing these Women’s Plus Size Active Bike Shorts is not very different from what I normally wear. Being plus sized, I really appreciate the wide waistband. It’s like two inches wide. It does not roll down like some of those waistbands that are less than an inch wide. The waistband is also flat and smooth. So it is not bunching up or too tight around the waist. If anything, the shorts were a bit loose in the front. I expected bike shorts to fit more snugly. Maybe I could have gone down in size on the shorts to ensure a more snug fit (got a 1X and usually wear a 1X). Aside from that, the shorts feel good on. They are not binding or uncomfortably tight. I have owned Active bike shorts in the past and they last a long time. But the fabric which rubs together between the thighs eventually wears thin enough to tear the material. But, it takes a while for that to happen. They are also a nice length. I am a grandmother and do not need anything too short.
These biker shorts work well for the intended use. I am about 5'2 and 245 pounds currently. I am wearing a size 2x and it fits perfectly. These fit well in all areas. I like that they are high rise so they come up above the belly button, that's important when you don't want your shorts riding down, especially if you've got a big belly. They fit nicely around the legs and around the stomach, and the waist. At the top the band is thick in height but not in actual thickness, which is nice because you don't end up having any twisting or rolling. They come down mid thigh on me which is where most of them do. They are stretchy but not overly stretchy and do have a little support to them. They are a little thin, and I fear if you've got some serious cellulite they would definitely accentuate that. I don't feel them moving or riding when I'm wearing them, and they don't seem to be stretching out too much while being worn, this is due to the fact that it's got some spandex in it I would assume. Overall they're a pretty nice pair of shorts to wear as intended and they fit great.
