Atomic Blonde (DVD + Digital) [Blu-ray]

Atomic Blonde is a spy thriller starring Charlize Theron and James McAvoy. The movie is set in 1989 Berlin on the eve of the fall of the Berlin Wall, when every spy in the city is at risk when an MI6 agent is killed by a KGB agent and a list of every agent operating in the city is stolen. Theron plays Lorraine Broughton, a high-ranking MI6 field agent, and McAvoy plays MI6's Berlin station chief. The plot of the movie is about agents from various spy agencies, including MI6, the CIA, KGB, and the French intelligence service trying to track down the list, but that is mainly filler between fight scenes. The movie is based on a graphic novel and the violence is definitely very over-the-top as it tends to be in many of the film adaptations of graphic novels. The movie is a good action spy thriller. The film is definitely not appropriate for young viewers as it contains a lot of violence, swearing, and sexual content. However, if you are in the mood for a good action/spy film that you do not have to pay constant attention to in order to follow what is going on, this fits the bill Enjoyed and recommend. 👍

Great movie!

Action, Action, Action! I loved it! These are some of the best action scenes I've ever seen. Theron is totally believable in the role. She's not a super hero but she's still very formidable. The music is phenomenal as well.

Really great value for the disc

Very slick actioner from David Leitch. Set in the Cold War era, Theron and McAvoy are great and the fight scenes are top notch.

I bought this movie like all of the movies I purchased at Walmart just for the digital movie and to my displeasure out of the 100 plus titles I've purchase this was the first one that wasn't supported by Vudu or Ultraviolet. It is only supported by the filming company Universal itself as they are now starting their own digital website. I will no longer be purchasing movies from that company since I do not want more than 1 website to go to for film watching.
