Disappointing

JohnC February 25, 2022

First of all, I'm a big Samsung fan. I have owned 5 Samsung Galaxy phones since the beginning. However, this highly anticipated S22 is a huge disappointment. If you look at the specification, you can see this phone is significantly inferior to the S20 series (the model that was released 2 years ago). Here are the spec downgrades I noticed (comparing S20 to S22): 1. Screen Resolution dropped from QHD (3200 x 1440) to FHD (2340 x 1080) 2. S22 Ram dropped from 12GB to 8 GB 3. MicroSD slot is removed 4. Pressure testing shows that the new CPU Snapdragon 8 Gen 1's performance is worse than Apple's A13 Chip (The one that's in iPhone 11 - the 2019 model). What's worse, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1's performance is also more unstable than last year's Snapdragon 888's performance. 5. The screen has downgraded from curved screen to flat screen 6. Screen size shrunk from S20's 6.2" display to S22's 6.1" display 7. No charger included 8. No headset included I understand Samsung wants to make more money, and I am very disappointed that's what Samsung decided to do - significantly downgrading its flagship devices, while still selling at a premium price. No wonder the sales of the Samsung's S series have been down over the past two years. Hope they wake up soon.
