The handset "registered" with the base set with no problem. The original base set was purchased years ago.

Two line accessory hand set.
Works as advertised but still requires AT&T base station which is able to handle VOIP on one line and regular land line on the other line but may need to transpose a couple of phone wires [red/green and yellow?black]. Setting the voicemail answering time on the VOIP longer than the base station permits the AT&T base to function as the answering machine, CID, etc. More convenient for home use.

Works at first
Love that it works with current landline base. It worked great for the first week or so. Now it sounds like a tine can and voices come over garbled. Customers I'm speaking with tell me I'm cutting in and out a lot.
