Solid, well designed, lightweight boat hook.
Upon inspection and use, this boat hook is well made with quality material. It's nicely designed - not too long when collapsed (about 3-1/2 feet), and offers an eight foot reach when fully extended. It's perfect for our 21' cabin cruiser. The tubes are made of heavy-gauge aluminum, but is still light in weight. The hook portion is solid, heavy duty, and is firmly secured to its pole. The main tube is slightly oversized so it fits nicely in my hands and offers a confident grip. Walmart's price was comparable to other online retailers, but I trust Walmart and its return policies. Shipping was fast and was free when purchased with other items that total over $35. This boat hook costs a few dollars more than other off-name brand hooks you might find on eBay and Amazon, but you get what you pay for. I've had excellent experience with Attwood marine products, and expect this to serve me well and for a long time to come.
