Shorter than I would have liked, but it is of legal height. When installing make sure you leave plenty of slack in the wire for the rotation of the pole.

Another Big Disappointment
After spending much time looking for a bad connection, I took the light apart and found the hot wire was not attached to the light. I bought it a year ago, just put it on today so I guess I'm stuck with it. I was able to put the wire back in place and the light worked until the wire came loose again. It is in a small area that's hard to get to. My opinion is it's a piece of junk.

Huge dissapointment
This product dosn't come with the necessary parts. You need to buy seperate screws for mounting, on/off swich, fuse holder and fuse, 16 gauge wire and connectors. Return to store! It should be called a partial kit.
