I needed a new condenser for basic vocal tracking from my home studio for spoken word content. I've always liked the sonic profile of the AT condensers for a wide variety of recording purposes. Great deal with the pop filter, shock mount and desk mounting boom arm. If you're looking for a dedicated mic for voice work, podcasts, zoom meetings and the like, I would recommend it.
"A very good package that did not disappoint. Made even better with the holiday discount. Pros: Boom Arm: Securely holds the weight of; cable, pop filter, shock mount and mic ... Assuming you set the system up correctly. Just for S&G, I left it in place for a week, no slipping at all. There is plenty of maneuverability to set things up how you need, or like, to set things up. Metal size adapter for different mic mounting options. Foam padding on clamp helps limit spurious ""table"" noise. Pop Filter: Fair for the task, assuming you don't eat condenser mics and yell... Perfectly OK for Podcasting, gaming, streaming, etc... where you have the mic out of camera shot. XLR Cable: A perfectly OK cable, nothing to shout home about. On the other hand, it isn't a P.O.S. The Audio Technica AT 2035 mic: At this price range, a really good piece of equipment. Sturdy metal, responsive, controllable, on-mic electronic pads (if you want them engaged), needed very little gain to work at 2 to 3 feet from mouth, whilst keeping ambient noise at a minimum. Also has an adapter (plastic) for different mounting options. The bundle has a metal adapter, so this is a ""spare"". The shock mount fits well, and works excellently to eliminate rumble from spurious vibrations and knocks. Overall, this is a good clean system that will work well for anyone... and, in my opinion, is priced well to to step up from sub $100 mics...or as a pre-cursor in going up to professional high dollar equipment. Arguably, this mic is prosumer not consumer. Processed cleanly and quickly by the seller; Focus Camera CONS: At this price point... nothing much to say. So, ignore those negative reviews that place a finicky high professional standard on the equipment."
