AudioTechnica ATR2100X-USB Cardioid Microphone

This microphone is great for several applications. It's marketed as a podcast/radio microphone, but it still works great singing through as well. I've used it for both applications and it has a wide dynamic range. I was impressed with the quality of this product, on par with Shure's SM58's. The options for direct aux plug in and usb connection really make this mic versatile and have a wide range of applications. I like that I can plug directly into my computer for recording on ableton and the ability to record for podcasts as well. Definitely a mic to grab if you want to use for a variety of applications. The volume knob is a nice addition too if you want to control it right from the mic.

This is an excellent microphone with superior clarity and above average audio quality. It was fast and simple to set up and only took minutes to be ready to use. Overall very easy to figure out. The sound is really great and provides consistently reliable projection. I haven't used thid microphone for very long but it was instantly obvious that it is better than other brands that I have tried. It seems very durable and I anticipate it being a long lasting product. I would definitely recommend this microphone to anyone looking to up the quality of their podcasts and audio recording.

I host a radio show and create promos for the station and this mic is incredible. I have previously used a Razer Siren Mini and although both are cardioid mics, this one seems to have better sound quality. I love the stand and the versatility. I look forward to using this in other ways in the future.

I received this product as part of a free sample program and let me say this came right on time for what my creative/business needs!!!! Set up is basically just plug and play/go . My audio was beyond standard and it made my Amp Dj session and streams sound much more legit ! Only used a few time so far but I'd say if you want a good option that isn't crazy expensive this is your choice. I'm in love

Let me just start off by saying I am not a professional audio engineer and I just got into audio editing recently for the purpose of podcast and video content. So as far as the technical side of the audio goes I may not have the most in-depth review, but I will be leaving this review as a content creator who is just getting started and has a little bit of knowledge of other microphones. Until this point I had been using a rode mic that clips on to my dslr, which left me with pretty noisy audio. Sometimes I would use Mike pack Mike's which had a lot of static and interference. Getting this microphone was an absolute upgrade and made my process so much easier and the quality of my final product so much higher! I found this this microphone was incredibly easy to use and came with so many different accessories to make using it even simpler. The quality of the microphone is great and the sound I get off of it is nice and clean, my brother who works in audio production even looked it over and said that he thinks it's a great mic!

At first glance its like any other microphone but when you plug it in it gives you a different experience. At your fingertips you are able to control the volume which is nice additional locations available for different set-ups. The stand is a little difficult to get in and out which can be chalked up as either good or bad depending on how much it would be used. The radio interference is quite minimal in regards to my other setup which is nice. I just only wish it came with the 6.35mm hookup although I can get adapters for this change it would be an all in one if I didn't have to do that. I would like to also see a travel bag for mobility I am all about organization and labels. However not a big deal. I do like how sturdy this is, gives me the impression it is made with quality parts and not skimping for price. Overall great experience would buy again if had to replace in the future.

This microphone has a great, crisp sound. Easy to install. Mostly plug and pkay if you have a sound platform already. Beginners could absolutely hook this up and get it going quickly.The downfall is that it had this humming, slightly static-sounding buzz. The sound came from the pc recognizing it as 2 mics due to the headphone jack built into the microphone. Once I muted that in the control panel, I didn't have the humming or buzzing sound any longer. The biggest complaint I have is the flimsy, poorly constructed desk stand for this mic.

In the past, I've been using an old school microphone that gets the job done, but sounds terrible lol. This was the upgrade that I needed. I like how they give you multiple plug in options. From the little that I have recorded so far, it sounded phenomenal, super crisp and clean with very little static. Personally I would prefer a better quality stand, but so far no issue. It's a good buy. I would recommend especially if you're still using an old school mic like I was lol

Product is heavy for the size. It comes with all necessary cords and the bas. It does translate well so there isn't much lagging or robotic sounding audio. Distance from the face makes a difference. Will be using it for homework assignments or getting on my mother's nerves.

Over all this mic will just work. Doesnt matter the device or format the mic will work. It doesnt have the most out of this world audio quality(still good for the price) but thats not what you buy this mic for. As a media creator this is the mic that will always be in my bag because i know it will just work. Whether i need to do some quick interview or record some audio or even if the DJ at the event needs a mic to use on the decks this mic works and thats the massive value in it. It just works and peace of mind is worth alot for highly booked professionals specially if you work events where you go into situations not always knowing what the layout is and what type of spaces you will be in but still have to produce.
