Audiovox RCR3283N Universal Remote Control

I purchased this because the remote on my old Toshiba died. If you have never programmed a remote, as I had never done, just be prepared to be patient with yourself and this remote, and set aside some time. But the makers tried to be as helpful as possible. They give you 3 different ways to program. If I did it, anyone can! I've had a stroke so my fingers aren't nimble, nor my eyesight so great.

I bought this to"back up" the remote control that came with my new hdtv and my DirecTV HD remote control. It does almost everything that both of them do at a reasonable price. I am happy with it.

pretty cheap and good. it came with instructions so you don't have to look up codes online. easy to setup and use

The remote works as advertised. The only minor issue I have is that the middle buttons between volume & channel sometimes get hit when I'm channel-surfing. If there was just a little more distance between the middle & edge buttons I wouldn't have that problem.

You are paying under $10 a unit, so do not expect much, but they do what they are meant to do. Plus - Nice list included in the instructions with hundreds of codes makes this easy to setup. Minus - It feels like cheap, light, may-fall-apart plastic but I have only had them for 1 week so I cannot comment on durability, just on feel.

The CLEAR option on the remote does not work. The other ones do but on my VCR CLEAR is needed when deleting a program.

received unit and tried to program. Would not program and then would not even turn off. Had to remove batteries. Returned for refund following day.

Shiping was fast, but the remote did not work. Returned it shortly after, got a refund, and bought a different one, which worked fine.

most complicated remote I ever seen . I still don't know if it functioned correctly or not. It did some things and not others. compared to the one I got to replace this one, a most difficult device.
