Audubon 74240 11" X 10-1/2" X 8" Chalet Style Bird Feeder

Although not completely squirrel proof, this feeder is much better than most. Squirrels do their acrobatic best %26 will spill some food but the birds are waiting underneath! Designed for little birds, the bigger birds struggle to stay aloft while feeding. Also, design makes it easier to fill %26 clean. I like the beauty of the chalet. The last one I purchased lasted years until the branch it was on broke %26 a racoon carried it away! So glad I found it reasonably priced at Walmart online.

As I write this, I can see birds using all three of my feeders, including this one. I've seen multiple reviews of this feeder that say birds will not use it. That is false. (Proof by counterexample requires only one contrary instance.) I'm not sure what's different between theirs and mine, but birds have no trouble with, or reluctance to, use mine. Construction is solid. It's smaller than I thought it would be. It holds a decent amount of food given its vertical size. A vertically short feeder does not hang as low as a taller one. Squirrels live on the ground. The higher the bottom of the feeder, the higher squirrels need to jump to reach it. If a squirrel can reach a feeder, any feeder, it can shake food out of it, regardless of any mechanism built into the feeder to keep squirrels out. The only truly squirrel proof bird feeder is one they cannot reach.

Love the color. I am happy it wont rust. Its very sturdy. All kinds of birds come in my yard. I have had other bird feeders but never got this my activity in my yard

I was pleasantly surprised how how durable this feeder is. Very well made and my birds love it.

This is a great looking feeder. Mine has slightly different feed trays. They are slotted. The birds won't go near this feeder! I don't think they see the seed. Wasted my money!
