Audubon Park Waste Free Snack Stack Wild Bird Food, Dry, 1 Count per Pack, 9.5 oz.

We have always fed wild birds during the winter. I had not heard of pressed bird seed before and wanted something less messy and contained up by the house. This Audubon Park Pressed Bird cake was perfect! The pressed seeds are compacted into a plastic wrap sealed disc that has a hole in the middle. Slide this over the provided black metal holder and hang using accompanying hook. Extremely light weight and the birds took to it right away. We have very cold freezing temperatures right now and the birds were still able to peck at the seeds without it crumbling or falling apart. Love the ease of filling it without having loose open bags of bird seed in the garage. I just keep the seed discs in the freezer until I'm ready to replace it again. Great invention! Also is lightweight enough to keep the greedy ravens from landing on it when hanging. They've got to eat too, but this is more for the smaller birds.

I work all the time. W prior attempts at bird feeders, the feed gets wet, rots, lots of upkeep and mess. This ones are absolutely awesome. All I have to do is to put the wee donut in the hanger and no worries until the bird eat it all. And they love it!

My birdies are chirping happy chirps non stop they just can't get enough of this delicious treat! Will definitely be buying more! Highly recommend it to everyone who loves birds as much as I do, it comes with a hook that is somewhat bendable but very strong and sturdy it's very well made and durable and will definitely last a long time even out in this Az heat , thanks for making such a great product

I ordered this Audubon waste free snack stack and feeder to hang in my yard. I am always trying new feeds and feeders to attract new and different birds. The feeder came with a cake that is easy to drop onto the feeder and allows you to hang 1, or 2 or more at a time. I put the 1 that came with the feeder onto the feeder and hung it from my shepherd's hook that I have for my feeders in my back yard. The chickadees were the first to notice it and were picking away at the seed cake. I have some cardinals that stay year round and the male came and was feeding in the afternoon, then the female joined him. They usually feed in the early morning or at dusk and I decided I would wait another day to get a good picture of the birds. They really seem to like this seed cake, they don't even have to shell the seeds. That is a nice feature of this seed cake, because I feed sunflower seeds and all the shelling does make a mess, so this is mess free! The third day I got up early to take a picture of the birds that I thought would be feeding on the feeder, and to my surprise the cake was totally gone. I would like to think that the birds finished it, but I am pretty sure that a raccoon got on my feeder and decided to have a free meal. So I would advise hanging this somewhere out of reach of raccoons and squirrels, as other critters love the seed too! I will buy new cakes and make sure I take them in at night since I don't want them to disappear! I enjoy feeding the birds and would recommend this bird feeder and no mess cakes to anyone wanting to feed the birds with no shell debris.

When I received this, I mistakenly went ahead and hung it up on my feeder pole outside thinking, I've got plenty of time to snap a pic before the birds eat much of it. Boy was I wrong! They absolutely devoured it! Going to pick up a new one on my next shopping trip. The metal holder has what looks to be a nice black coating and I don't see any signs of rust yet (I live in a very wet humid climate). Overall it's nice to look at and the birds love it too!

We absolutely love our backyard birds. We have a variety of bird feeders hanging in one of our fruit trees. We chose this tree because it's totally visible from our family room and we can watch our birds banter and eat. We've noticed that the birds have favorite feeders that they sometimes fight over. When we put our new Audubon Stack Wild Bird Feeder in the tree we were quite surprised that the birds all started fighting over it. They love it! We immediately went to Walmart to buy more bird feed stacks but were unable to find the Wild Bird Seed variety. We bought several different kinds but are still hoping our local Walmart will restock the Wild Bird Seed variety. The seed stacks are great because they're so very easy to use, the birds love them and most importantly there is very little seed waste. Cheers for the Audubon Stack Wild Bird Food!

I really like this Audubon Park Snack Stack Feeder with the Waste Free stack because It is easy to hang and with the short s-hook you can reach pretty high to place on a limb. There are several more varieties of pressed seed “flavors” which I would like to get to attract a wider range of birds and if you need to take it down it takes hardly any space. If you don’t have cats, its perfect!! However, having cats around, both mine and others, I will have to modify the feeder by adding screen around the base and stitch it up to the low rails they perch on. I wish Audubon Park could make one that was spill/cat proof! We had to remove all our feeders last summer as the birds made a mess tossing seeds out and then would land on the ground to eat the discards. Not good! I thought this feeder might solve that problem and to a certain extent it does. The birds don’t toss the “pressed” seeds so none falls to the ground until its half way eaten (the chickadees and nuthatches love this kind!!!) then, crumbs do fall so I brought it inside until I can attach the screen as I couldn’t stay there “supervising” I made the screen and it works! Cut a square about 12” square wrapped about 1-1/2” up sides around “railing” and secured with little lengths of thin picture wire. I have seen no crumbs falling since I put it back out this AM. So far blue jay, chickadees and finches have been devouring. I will be getting a couple more but may not be able to stack as that may allow a bit of crumbs off the sides, but with winter coming, I might be able to leave out on limb once snow cover keeps the kitties from lying in wait. I’m happy we can feed the birds again!

I received this waste free snack stack wild bird food feeder and bird food for free in exchange for my opinion of it. When I first opened the box I was very pleased. I thought it seemed like a clever idea. I have tried lots of other bird feeders and the seeds all blow out with the slightest wind or they fall down and break etc. This one has not fallen down or had the seeds blow out. The problem I have found is that no birds eat from it. I put it right above a bush that has lots of birds living in it so it seems like a perfect place. I don't know if they don't like the food or just don't recognize it as a place to get food but there is no food taken from it and it has been hanging out there for a month. So then I put it out for my chickens, who were slow to care about it but eventually understood it and snacked on it. So overall, I will probably buy refills on occasion as a treat for the chickens but definitely not for the wild birds.

I love this type of feeder and it has been extremely popular with the local birds (and squirrels) however when I bought this particular variety I noticed that it was actually missing the hole in the center. I ended up just leaving it on the ground outside and a squirrel ran off with it as soon as I went inside. I didn't mind too much though since it was a hungry baby squirrel and it might share with it's mom and sibling. And it is a very cute baby squirrel.

It was a nice round cake and cute holder to hang, but afew birds pecjed at it but couldn't break anythung away, do I thought I would give it yo my 3 chickens, they pecked at it and it wouldn't break, so I took my plumbers wrench and that was hard to break ut aaay, so I flipoed the head and started beating the cake, and I mean beating, as it was quite difficult to break away, but when I finally did, my chickens loved it I dont know if I just got a bad one, but I would think twice before buying it.
