Augason Farms 2-Week 1-Person Emergency Food Supply Kit

this is 14 lb of emergency food, but I expected when it said 2 weeks for one person it was individually packed. all the packages are eight serving packages this will not do in an emergency for one person because all the packages only contain the directions for making the full package. so for a single person you are still going to need eight days worth of refrigerated storage for this if you follow the directions on the package. so you're going to have to figure something out if you're looking to have emergency food for one person for 2 weeks. and hurricane Irma my power was off for a month and a half and the same in the hurricane before it actually I think the one before it my power was off 2 months. it comes with one package of dehydrated bananas for snacks. of course the one package is 8 servings. most people would not have opened this up until the emergency happened. it is an awesome price for what it is and it's an awesome selection. I will be buying it again. but I'll have different expectations to next time.

I wrote a review just because there was one guy who complained this is meatless. You know I noticed mine didn't have any gold bars which was a major let down. Price per pound, price per calorie, price per gram of fat this kit is hands down far superior. People want things for nothing. The problem with society. I wouldnt expect it to have gold or meat in it for this price. So do yourself a favor please go look at the price of dehydrated chicken. Its an extremely expensive item. I can see the guy now ripping the bucket apart looking for dehydrated filets. Get a grip. I personally own 500 lbs of augason farms food and have tried them all. This is the most important thing you can ever buy, especially if you dont have a lot of money to spend. Grocery store shelf items expire. Its a guess if you purchase that trying to be prepared. This takes the guesswork out which is another huge savings. 30years of preparation in a single easy item.

What can I say?? WOW, this is what I call a meal. after eating this product for approximately 5 days I lost 25lbs. The food makes my stomach bloat so full of gas that it makes my hunger cravings disappear. The taste is something in between dinty moore and top Ramen as it sure is tasty. I think as long as you don't mind the bloat you'll love this smorgasbord bucket full of yummy treats.

i am familiar with Augason Farms foods. Walmart did a great job shipping to my doorstep. I will not order from Amazon. No Amazon for 2 years of ordering. I will go to Walmart for all my needs online. Thank you!

Honestly, I haven't opened the container but that being said I would hope that the product is legit. For the price, this was the best I could find being sold from a reputable company, and the shipping was extremely quick.

Augason Farms is always tasty, and this has plenty of selection. I do wish, since it's for one person, that it would come in single-serving bags. This won't be a problem as long as we still have electricity when we need this food. However, if there's no electricity, I'll be trying to figure out how to break the bags into individual portions (and then store each portion in Ziploc bags before I cook them).

After purchasing the 2 week pails I gave it a test run just to see how they stack up against two other popular brands and some of the other prep foods out there. The quality of food from a taste and nutrition standpoint was very good. The only drawback that I saw is that it requires very hot water to reconstitute and if you don't have a way to heat up your water, this could be problematic. Other emergency food products that I've used don't require much more than room temperature to reconstitute. It also requires quite a bit of time so be patient.

Arrived with one of the packets broken open inside the bucket container. I see on other reviews where this is an ongoing problem with this product. As I cleaned up the powder all over the other packets it did smell good (chicken soup). I have not tried the product as it's the idea to save it for emergencies. Ended up rewrapping the open packet in a food saver bag to hopefully extend the freshness.

Shipping actually took 5 days pretty quick....... Buyers should open the container to check the packages inside. One of my packages of soup mix was punctured, assumedly at the packaging plant or by the haphazard way all the food pouches seemed to be just jammed in the bucket. Other than that one issue all of the other food pouches were ok except as I said the pouches were just jammed in the bucket and not carefully placed inside like you or I would store the contents. Better variation and quantity of food........... Augason Emergency Food is " FOOD" with minimal drink mix / oatmeal fillers. Some other name brands are 25-30% drink mixes and 25% cereal / oatmeal
