August Home Connect Wi-Fi Bridge

Bought the August pro3. Had a weird lock so called the number. Answered right away and new part arrived in 2 days. Installed it so easily. Bought the Bluetooth/wifi connect a couple weeks later because I feel like unlocking your door for cleaners or dog walkers is what it's designed for. Also love piece of mind knowing my door is locked and people don't lose my house keys anymore. Has saved me multiple times already when I've forgotten my house key too. All in all a life saver and fantastic purchase. Worth every penny in my opinion.

I installed my August lock, about a month ago, and purchased the wifi bridge to, simplify my life. When I'm out and my family comes over they just text me and I let them in no matter how far away I am. And connecting to Alexa was a breeze. When I turn out the last t he last light using Alexa she will remind me if my door is unlocked. The Best!!!!!

I would have to recommend the connect to a friend, because you need this component for the locks to be as useful as they already should be. I'm not sure why I have to spend more money on a "bridge" for my lock to talk to the rest of the house. My Nest thermostat is already WiFi ready, and it does SO much more than just unlock a door, for about the same price as the August lock. Set up was super easy.

The first one lasted 18mo, and then failed completely. It barely worked while I had it. Signal strength was so low it had to be within 8' of the lock. I see a lot of similar complaints online. August would not replace it, so I had to buy a new one. Not recommended, but you don't really have a choice, either. I love the lock itself, but the wifi bridge is not a great design.

I have used these products at airbnbs and offices for several years. They are unreliable, they fail, disconnect constantly even when other products like ring video doorbells succeed. 10-15% of the time my guests never receive the text invitation and find it confusing and often unsuccessful to load it.

worked for years then stopped. tech said it wsas broken needed replacement. bought replacement and it did work either. then they tell me that its problem with my dual band router. same router ive had for years and it worked on same router for years. everything else in the house (about 50 devices) work fine on the router. half of them 2.4 and half are 5g yet connect is having issues after years of no issues. ofc blame it on something else instead of the product itself...

I've had this lock and bridge for a few years. I have had the same problem as many in the group with continuous Wi-Fi disconnection. I thought it would be fixed by now with some sort of update. I was told the compatibility problem was due to my Wi-Fi mesh system….which makes no sense. Current technology has to have a better answer. And, you can't post your review unless you agree to getting crap emails.

My first bridge stopped working just after a year of the purchase date so I was forced to buy another (1 year warranty). The replacement model has the same poor auto unlock performance as the original I purchased

The August Connect (WiFi Bridge) device will lost connection after a year, I tried to reset and set up the device again. But it stated as attached, stated that I do not own any locks support Connect. I HAVE NO ISSUE AT THE BEGINNING BUT NOT IT IS A TRASH AND WASTE OF MONEY.

Bought this a month ago thinking this would solve the limited range of my Bluetooth only August lock. Well this WiFi range extender works inconsistently. Half the time it doesn't connect and i have to reboot the setup. I am ready to toss this into the garbage can. I think i am about done with August products.
