Beautiful Movie!
I absolutely loved this movie! It does have strong language, but I certainly don't thinks that's the focal point of this movie. Meryl Streep does an AMAZING job in this movie, if you love Meryl Streep this is some of her finest acting. Julia Roberts is amazing as well, she convincingly played the part of the fed up daughter. Don't miss out on this movie because you'll be missing out on something truly amazing. The mother daughter story alone makes the movie.

I love August Osage County.
It has a great cast with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. Laughs and tears. I was thinking about this movie for days after watching it.

Don't believe what you read!
Don't believe what you have read...bad reviews that is. Lol This is a great movie if you give it a chance. I aboslutely love this movie; despite what others may feel about it. Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts are playing in roles that are completely different from any character previously played by these two. There are bouts of cursing and lots of suspicious rumors lurking around the corner waiting to shock you. Cousins sleeping with cousins, sisters sleeping with sisters' husbands, cheating spouses, and so much more. This movie actually reminds me of how a death in a family can also be an awakening for those that are still alive!

One of my favorite movies.
I gave four stars instead of five because it bothers me when anybody takes God's name in vain--and in this movie, they say it a lot. Other than the foul language the content reminded me of some things I went through with my own family and how exactly how my own family reacted to death was pretty much the same. Sad but true and so I could relate to this movie.

Being one of Julia Roberts's movies I expected this movie to be better than good but it was terrible. I would not recommend it to my friends and will pay closer attention to the reviews next time I want to pay for a DVD and not just rent one.

Great Actresses,Actors ,but Horrible Language!!!
I have loved Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts for years. But, I think this was the worst movie I have seen them in. (Only because of language) Must these movies be made with so much anger and bad language? Is this the way America really is? They both are beautiful women, but the language does not become them . Even though they must be the characters they portray, It doesn't look right for such beautiful women to have dirty,nasty mouths. Sorry, PKJ60
