This looks as pictured when out together. It has a very good amount of space on the bottom and top shelf. My one complaint is that the "banana" holder ring doesn't have a fixed spot so it did fall off a lot for me when not in use so i don't use it and just lay my bananas on top most of the time. It is very easy to put together in a matter of minutes. Would purchase again. i was looking for an alternative to the common basket shape that didn't leave me a lot of storage space.

The top does not flatten out with items in it.
