Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet Thread Size 10-Forest Green

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this crochet thread and immediately started my project. It works up beautifully. I'm making a table runner with all the different colors and I couldn't be more pleased at how it looks. All the colors are fantastic! The thread doesn't split and has a great sheen to it. I'll definitely be back for more.

I find this thread to be superior to other similar threads from the past (including J&P Coats Knit Cro Sheen) as it is smoother/silkier and has a bit more stretch to it. It seems also to split less when working with it. One issue seems that different colors seem to have slightly different thickness for reasons I do not understand, resulting in finished products that are of varying sizes, though this usually is not an issue. Something to keep in mind is that dye lots do vary, and it is important to buy enough of a particular dye lot when you first make your purchase so that you won't have to buy more later, which might not match. Yarnspirations is NOT good with this. They do not guarantee that all of the spools of any particular color you order will be from the same dye lot.

I was very happy when I received my order of crochet thread. I was so excited to get started on the projects I wanted to make.

I create doilies and this is the best thread out there. It works up beautifully and blocks extremely well. I have a huge stash of this thread in every available color and will continue to use it as long as it continues to exist.

I made an Irish lace purse and lace gloves for my mother's birthday. This thread is amazing for intricate designs. I will definitely purchase again in different colors.

Came nice and clean with plastic wrap and the label in perfect condition. Can be difficult to find the start (hint only use the outside, poke around for a loose thread and pull it out and you are good to go), but once you get going it is easy to work with. This is a true white.

I am very happy with this thread. It is making a lovely lacey detail. The color matches my project perfectly.

Very serviceable and well-behaved cotton thread in plenty of colors to satisfy most. I’ve used nearly every brand of cotton crochet thread available and you really can’t beat the quality of RedHeart cotton for the price point, especially for big projects like wedding dresses or matelasse coverlets. Good stitch definition without being too ropey, nice finish, resists fuzzing, pilling and breakage well, very good yardage.

Under the impression I was to receive 3 but only received 1. My mobility is very limited and I will be returning it, to Walmart, as soon as I can.
