Aunt Lydia's Classic Crochet Thread Size 10-Maize

Excellent product. Never fails, always use aunt Lydia's crochet cotton for my doily crochet projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this crochet thread and immediately started my project. It works up beautifully. I'm making a table runner with all the different colors and I couldn't be more pleased at how it looks. All the colors are fantastic! The thread doesn't split and has a great sheen to it. I'll definitely be back for more.

I find this thread to be superior to other similar threads from the past (including J&P Coats Knit Cro Sheen) as it is smoother/silkier and has a bit more stretch to it. It seems also to split less when working with it. One issue seems that different colors seem to have slightly different thickness for reasons I do not understand, resulting in finished products that are of varying sizes, though this usually is not an issue. Something to keep in mind is that dye lots do vary, and it is important to buy enough of a particular dye lot when you first make your purchase so that you won't have to buy more later, which might not match. Yarnspirations is NOT good with this. They do not guarantee that all of the spools of any particular color you order will be from the same dye lot.

I create doilies and this is the best thread out there. It works up beautifully and blocks extremely well. I have a huge stash of this thread in every available color and will continue to use it as long as it continues to exist.

Very nice thread! The picture on the internet looked almost day-glow, but it's not. It's very bold primary colors, at short lengths so the colors work into a piece (even a small piece) completely mixed and pretty.

I am pleased with this crochet thread made by this company no matter what ply it comes in. I have crocheted for over 50 years and have used Aunt Lydia’s threads extremely often. It’s a good quality product!

Very serviceable and well-behaved cotton thread in plenty of colors to satisfy most. I’ve used nearly every brand of cotton crochet thread available and you really can’t beat the quality of RedHeart cotton for the price point, especially for big projects like wedding dresses or matelasse coverlets. Good stitch definition without being too ropey, nice finish, resists fuzzing, pilling and breakage well, very good yardage.

This is a case of Read the fine print. The photo shows a One Pound spool of thread. What they're selling is the smaller 350 yard spool. So, you think you're getting a really good deal when in fact, you're getting ripped off. You can buy the smaller spool for less than half the price at Michael's.

i ordered the large ball and they sent the small one. really disappointed.

The picture doesn’t agree with the description. I was expecting the pictured item. Pictured is a large thread, received was the 400 yds, significantly smaller amount.
