This review is for the Frigidaire 1.4 cu. ft. Black Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave Oven. I have had so much fun with this microwave. I love it so much! I haven't gotten a new microwave in a good many years so all these new features are a surprise to me. The microwave is very sharp looking. It's black with like a grayish silver trim. It's very attractive and would go with any decor. It has so many features I haven't even begun to touch base with most of them. My favorite part is the safety lock for the keypad so that little kids can't accidentally turn it on. It also has a timer that you can use just for anything unrelated to cooking in the microwave. It has not one but two ‘add seconds' buttons. You can add 10 seconds at a time or 30 seconds at a time. I totally flipped when I found out you can set it (just for example) to cook at 80 percent power for 2 minutes and then change to 50 percent power for 6 minutes 30 seconds. I tried this on a frozen lasagna that said to cook it similar to this and it worked perfectly. There are so many features I still haven't had a chance to try them all. You have the options for defrost, reheat, popcorn, beverage, and even potato. There's also convenience options. Those are melt butter, melt chocolate, soften ice cream, and soften cream cheese. Then you have the sensors options. The sensor I'm still a little confused on but it is suppose to detect the increasing humidity released by the food and automatically adjust the cooking time for the type and amount of food. For the sensor options you have frozen entree, meat, and sea food. I've cooked frozen corn and also TV dinners using the sensor options for them. They have all turned out just as they are suppose to. I've also tried popcorn, beverage, the potato (loved it), and the option for softening ice cream. They also have performed perfectly. And of course I've cooked, thawed, reheated, you name it and I'm completely satisfied. There's like a mini cheat sheet inside the microwave door so you don't have to keep looking in the manual to see what to do. But of course you can just cook things on your own by pushing the basic time and chose from 10 power levels. I didn't have any problem setting the clock. Following the instructions at first I was looking for the words 'clock or options' but then figured out I just needed to look for a clock icon. When cooking time is up there are a series of three long loud beeps. Then it repeats after about 20 seconds if you haven't opened the door. The outside vents are located in the back and on the left side. The microwave measures 21 by 14 by 12 inches. The clearance for the door opening is 14 and a half inches by nine inches high. It has a 13 inch turntable and an inside light. The inside space for cooking is roughly around twelve and a half by fourteen and a half by nine inches. It is 1100W. The manual has a handy tip guide for what is safe to use in the microwave, wax paper, etc. I highly recommend this microwave to anyone!
