Works well but it's a very basic shredder that only does strips so there is no real security after shredded. I unfortunately don't notice this before buying or I would have looked for a different shredder. It fits nicely over the top of a 13 gallon tall kitchen garbage bin. It's very convenient to shred over a large 13 gallon bag than the little bins most shredders come attached to. The shredder seems to run quite a bit longer than many others before getting hot and needing to be turned off to cool. I won't shred important items such as credit cards in this but works fine for less important papers or items like cds. In this day and age a simple cross cut pattern could have been manufactured without being more expensive.

It's Okay it does what they say it will do. Wish the arm was a little longer. over heats it you are doing lots of shredding. Would like to see one in a cross hatch.

After shredding paper, the shredder did not cease shredding, even though no paper was being fed into it. It kept screeching, as it continued to look for paper to shred. (Our previous shredder never had this issue.) I had to turn the shredder from Auto to Off to shut it down. I tried multiple times to get it to work properly, without success. This seemed like a potential safety issue, so we returned the item.
