My mechanic recommended this product to me. It is very easy to use.

I have no previous experience with these readers, but after looking at online videos, I got a pretty good idea. If you're not a professional, this unit is all you need. The instructions are terrible, but there's video on YouTube for this exact unit. No problem at all to read the trouble codes, and then you can go online with the trouble code to get the information on what it means.

I originally purchased the cheaper $20 Autel 309, which worked well so I gifted it to my father and bought this one and wow! The screen is nice and bright and extra feature like live view and emissions testing is worth the extra dollar. It's simple to operate and anything I didn't know I simply googled and I found out what the feature did. Highly recommend for the at home mechanic!

It does everything I needed it to do. A very good tool for the price. Highly recommended for a weekend hobbyist.

Every year I would have problems passing my inspection due to the engine light being on. I've taken my car to countless mechanics who would scan with their machine but never could tell me what exactly was wrong with the car and would charge me hundreds of dollars to "glue hoses back on" or tape them etc. claiming the issue was fixed only to have the light come back on the next day. This year it took me weeks and hundreds of miles wasting gas only for mechanics to still say the car wasn't ready. I decided to take matters into my own hands and purchase the scanner and it was the best decision I've made! This scanner is so easy to use and stays on while you're driving. It literally took me only 13 miles to turn all but two codes off to be ready. I let the car sit overnight for the engine to cool, turned it back on the next day and as I drove out of my driveway unexpectedly I heard a beeping noise. I looked at the scanner and the car was ready! I took it straight to the mechanic and passed inspection. 13 miles!!!! Not 40, not 50 and definitely not 100miles like they always tell you to drive to complete a drive cycle. I wish I would have found the scanner sooner. It takes all of the guesswork out of going back and forth to the mechanic and back on the highway etc. and would have saved me so much money. This is definitely worth the buy!!!!! I'm so happy with the scanner and have recommended it to so many others going to the same thing. This is a genuine review and I was not paid nor received anything for writing this review, I just want to help others in the same situation.

Well built and intuitive to use. Still have not figured how to subscribe to the free month of add-on services and they sent me an expired coupon.

Instructions were complicated. Item never worked as intended. Could not complete file update and never would work in my vehicle. Bought 2 of these and the same problem. Do not buy. Highly frustrated. Returned for refund.

used 2 times and just went blank. i know how to use even got older 1 still that works but this tester is bogus.
