Scanner did the job I wanted. Accessed the manufacturers codes I needed. I didn't notice you have to buy each auto manufactures code from Autel, but your first one comes free. After that you have to pay for each vehicle manufacturer. On the good side each new one you add was only $10. HTH.
This tool is so useful when doing a lot of oil changes. Reseting the oil light can be a difficult process but this tool makes it so easy. It also taps into Electronic parking brake system plus pulls DTCS to lead you in the right direction to properly diagnose your vehicles needs. Awesome tool in my book
I was amazed by the features it offered. It did scan the transmission module, which was overheating at the moment. I didn’t even know about that! Well, probably the cause was the Castrol in my Ford, which I had just changed three months ago. And it did help me turn off the check engine light in the gauge cluster. Anyway, great scanner to have in the garage.
I was looking for a diagnostic tool that would last for a while and offer me many years of use, and this autel diaglink scanner is just the right choice for me. The device is compact, and its ergonomic design makes handling it fun. It is durably constructed of hard plastic material that can withstand impact and crushing from my heavy daily use. Plus, it’s equipped with both basic and advanced features. I don’t even need a lot of knowledge on vehicle diagnostics to effectively use this gadget because it is super easy to use with clearly labeled buttons and icons. I used this tool to test why there was a check engine light on my Honda2012, and it turned out it was a simple fix: replace the gas cap. The check engine light was gone. I honestly feel it was worth the money I paid. Anyway, it has to be updated before use – this is very frustrating, especially when I need to start using the scanner immediately. But after that, everything will be easy and fast.
Perfect tool to diagnose my Porsche!
This does access the computer systems in total after the downloading the updated software. But the systems they use to denote the software packages is pretty vague in the descriptions. You have to know the cryptic systems it uses to id the software packages and it's not just apparent in what they are talking about in the descriptions. Plain English would be better.
A colleague recently told me that he couldn’t pinpoint the problem with accuracy when the engine oil service lights popped up. And he had no time to take the vehicle to the mechanic for an oil change at that particular moment. Fortunately, I’ve got this Autel Diaglink. After he paid 10 dollars to buy an additional software model for his Honda, he used it to read and reset the engine oil service lights quickly and easily. Later that day, he could replace the oil all by himself. To make things even better, he recalculated the car driving mileage so that the onboard vehicle computer could accurately calculate when he needed to replace the oil. The incredible thing was that he said, from then, he had never seen the Engine Oil Service Light pop up again. So he loved every gadget and decided to buy one as well.
Haven't used yet. They should tell you that you need a PC with windows 10 to download software would've never bought it!
Despite downloading the latest files for Hyundai - clearly labeled as supporting 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe - the tool failed to recognize my vehicle or show it in a list of manual selections. Wanted to do EPB release to replace brakes but this device does not support the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SE. Review written Jan 3 2021, USA.
Item was not as described. This is not a DIY version of the Autel MD802 since it will not do all of the same functions as an Autel MD802. This is simply an OBD2 tool and will not work on other functions like Airbag or ABS.
