I first was not happy as I expected simply a bag or box of chicken. Once product started cooking and got to point of stirring, I WAS SOLD! The rice smelled soo good I could not wait to taste. After meal was totally heated, meat was seasoned to perfection and complimented the rice perfectly!! OMG, DELICIOUS!
For the price cannot be beat. 5 tempura battered chicken pieces in orange sauce in the top of the box. Fried rice with carrot sticks, veggies in the box under the chicken with orange sauce. The box is plastic wrapped tight. All you do is put the box in microwave just as is for 3 or 4 minutes depending on wattage. Poke the plastic wrapper and tear off then open top of box dump on plate, cool a few minutes and eat it. It's very decent in taste and it's fast and easy and cheap.
This orange chicken is very good, I love it so much I order 5 at a time and I have 1 for lunch everyday. The taste is in comparison to restaurant and trust me I was very surprised the first time I bought one. You will be amazed that the chicken is real chicken breast, now I was really impressed. There is other Chinese microwave food at Walmart but it’s like rubber. There are other dishes besides this one but they are too hot for me. I’m positive they are equally as delicious. For $3.97 it’s a bargain. Men can get 2 of them and have a large meal. Come back on here and put a review up, I know it will be a positive one.
I can't afford take out Chinese anymore so this hit the spot. I like that it all cooked in one container but separately. Once done I put the cooked chicken on top of the fried rice and yum! Bonus for me is when I can eat it out of the same container I cooked it in.
I liked thatthe Authentic Asia O orange chicken was so easy to prepare and yet not already mixed together I think that makes a big difference on the taste. It's just enough to be a good serving for one person. of course one always wants a little more when something's really good but it really is a good portion. I've purchased this before many times. it tastes very good the chicken is a good consistency there's nothing odd about the flavor and I like how easy it is to clean up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The orange sauce has a pleasant sweet-tangy flavor with mild to moderate saltiness, making it enjoyable without feeling overly salty. The chicken quality is good for a frozen meal—tender on the inside with a lightly crisp breading that holds up well after heating. The vegetables are minimal, adding some color but not much volume, so the dish leans heavily toward chicken and rice. Ingredient freshness is decent, with no strong freezer taste, and the overall texture remains satisfying. A reliable, convenient option when you want a quick Asian-style meal at home.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great quick meal to have in your freezer for when you want something right away. Flavor is pretty decent. It’s a little sweet for me and not enough chicken but for the price, it’s worth it. I’d buy again just to have it in the freezer for when I want quick Chinese. Portion is also very small.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The meal was fine but not what I was expecting! The portion was pretty small for the chicken but the preparing was very easy. There were more vegetables and rice than meat. Tasted good just not enough meat for my liking.
Mega-blah. Didn't come close to Authentic Orange Chicken. Was mushy breaded chicken with a tiny spec of chicken. Orange sauce no trace of Orange anywhere. I feel like I was eating a breaded sponge. it only took one piece to throw in the garbage. these so called self proclaimed chefs need to taste these concoctions they're horrible. To me this food was a complete disaster. I will only purchase a frozen dinners from one chef and it's not this guy. don't waste your money it's horrible chewy gummy tasteless pathetic this guy thinks he's a chef I think he order checking to reality go back to school learn how to cook that's it I'm done.
The size of the chicken, all 4 pieces, were about 1/2 inch long and about the width of a pinky finger. The added rice and sauce combined with the supposed chicken pieces were about equal to a measuring cup of food! The taste wasn't great and definitely overpriced. I will never buy this product again.
