This seems to produce the same gauge as the common circle looms. I had made a number of slipper socks with two strands of 5 weight yarn on my usual circle loom but needed smaller and larger width for toddlers and men. So far this is working well. Also, if the "standard" circle loom isn't the correct circumference for children's hats as they grow. Some of the other reviewers say that they are hard to put together or take apart. Either my fingers are extra strong or I find that it is a bit stiff at first but as I use them, they click together more and more easily. I haven't tried a sweater yet.
