I buy this pair almost every two months. They're reliable and go with every outfit I have . I will die with these shoes on . Afterwards I will walk into heaven and find the nearest Vans store . Afterwards Jesus will ask "can I get a pair" and I'll say "nope gotta get your own" oh how we'll laugh!
I have been buying this shoe every 2 months for about 15 years now. It's reliable and goes with all my outfits. I will be buried in these shoes till. Then when I walk into heaven I will find the nearest Vans store. Jesus will say " can I get a pair?" And I'll be like "nope gotta get your own" haha! Oh how we'll laugh! #sweepstakes
Shoes are good but my issue is the insole if you buy customs, you pay for a way better insole all vans should just have those in there so they last and stay comfortable longer. That is my issue.
I purchased several pairs of Vans because of their classic, timeless style—and they did not disappoint. They're incredibly versatile, easy to dress up or down, and perfect for both work and everyday wear. As a teacher, I'm on my feet all day, and these shoes are comfortable enough to wear from morning drop-off to afternoon dismissal with no issues. An unexpected bonus? Many of my students wear tiny versions of Vans, so they've become a fun point of connection and conversation in the classroom. Stylish, durable, and practical—Vans are now a staple in my wardrobe.
I wish I could design my own color scheme. I would like a multi color pair with all the basic colors! Red, blue, green, yellow! Also more solid color choices. Kelly green, orange, purple. Never have my size in the darker purple! Crayola colors would be great. Also would love more colors in the gum soles.
Bought these classic shoes for my boyfriend. I wasn't sure how accurate the sizing would be, so I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived at the house and he tried them on –– it was PERFECT. He wears these shoes with every outfit for almost every occasion.
As the titles says, this is the shoe that I remember from the 80's/90's (kids ask your parents). Some companies count on nostalgia to cover for the fact that they've cut corners on the quality of long lived products, but I'm happy to report that Van's isn't among them. The only reason(s) that I'm giving these a 4 instead of 5 star rating is that A.) The listed size of "11" feels a tad larger than that. Maybe more like a "11.5". That seems like a nitpick, but it does make a bug difference. And, 2.) They're not the sturdiest of shoes. I knew that of course, but I'd forgotten just how flimsy they are (not a quality issue, but an intentional design one). This is not a shoe for anything other than a trip to the store or the like. And as for skateboarding? I was more of a BMX kid myself, but how y'all wear these for anything sports related is beyond me. Props.
These are my first pair of Vans...I originally bought the ones with the white stripe (forget offhand what they're called) but ended up exchanging them for the Authentics because they're lighter and a little less chunky. My only issue with them is that they don't seem to be meant to wear with socks...the only socks you can wear with these are extremely low cut no show socks, so for chillier weather these probably wouldn't work for me.
Not just this pair but the last three? Screw Vans I used to go to the little vans huts in the Valley when it was actually not just 3rd world sweat shop garbage
I've been wearing authentics for the past 15 years. just recently got another new pair and something felt different right out of the box, whatever they'll break in. flash forward to about a month and there are holes starting to from on the toe box where the foot bends this usually doesn't happen till a year in, and I usually wear out the soles before holes start to form. Also all this during a pandemic where I have not been wearing them as much as usual. Very unacceptable
