It was pretty easy to set up. The hardest part is running the wire along the vehicle frame and making it look professional. I plan on buying another one for my other vehicle.

I've researched many rearview mirror monitor backup camera systems. If you just want to add backup camera and see the image on the rearview mirror when your car is in reverse, this is the product for you. What you need to do is to tap into your backup light source, and the product comes with standard 4-pin connection wires that are long enough for mid-size car and SUV. The 4-pin connection wire carries power and video signal. There is no RCA type of video connector. This make installation on SUV (hatch door) much easier because you need to be able to get the wire from the hatch door to the vehicle's main body through a very small rubber tube. Other type of products use RCA video connectors and they are too big to go through the rubber tube. If the 4-pin connection wire is too short if you have truck or RV, you can always purchase extra 4-pin connection wire. The camera also use the 4-pin connection so you can easily find replacement camera in case it fails. The rearview mirror monitor also uses 4-pin connection so you can hide the wire easily. I installed the system on my Matrix (hatch door) in about an hour. If you install it on sedans, it would be much easier and simpler. I did not use the included camera because it will be located at the center of license plate where my hatch door opener is located. So I used other aftermarket backup camera that uses the same 4-pin connector, and installed it on the left side of the license plate. The included backup camera will flash "Stop" on the monitor when your vehicle is in reverse. The aftermarket backup camera does not, but it does have the guide lines. To tap into your vehicle's backup light source, this product includes two quick connectors to connect the system to positive and negative power source, so there is no need to strip wire and connect the wires. It also comes with a plastic prying tool so you can remove trims easily to hide the cable. The rearview mirror looks like OEM mirror and the image quality is great. There is a light sensor on the back of the rearview mirror so it will automatically adjust the brightness of the monitor. This product is great if you don't want to replace your radio unit or add the backup camera to your existing radio display. Installation can't be much simpler.

Works great, easy to install if you are an audio professional. I had a bad oem rear view mirrow and no backup cam on my 2006 Lexus GS300 so this was a perfect solution. the mounting is universal and replace the original oem mirror just fine.
