This window shade set really keeps the sun out. It suctions on to either side of the window and fits our large windows nicely. You pull the string to tighten, which you will do if you have kids, it can loosen easily. But the double sided panels have been great to keep the sun out and keep the back cooler.
I love these car side window shades! I travel a lot for my job and I am in the field a lot - these shades have been amazing at blocking out sunlight while I'm working in the truck. There are 2 panels per curtain - a checkered see-through panel and a black panel that is not see-through so you can choose to block out a little or lots of light. The shades attach to the window with 2 suction cups. You pull the curtain string to fit it to your window so these fit on any size up to 25.9 inches! 2 side window curtains are included per package. I definitely recommend this for anyone that spends a decent amount of time in a vehicle!
I was very interested in trying these two curtains for my car. The box contains two curtains, and each curtain have a black material on the back, and a checkered black and gray material on the front. There are suction cups on the end of each curtain. The picture I included shows the curtains up in my car oh, and you can still see light through them, but it does darken it significantly. I noticed that these are long enough to cover the entire window. I really like these, because if you open your window, and let in a breeze, the curtains will allow air to circulate. They also really darken the inside of the car and really help keep the heat out. There are some disadvantages, for instance because these have suction cups, it is very hard to get the curtain to cover your entire window because it is not made to curve with the windows, and since there is no suction cup in the middle, there was no way to keep that part of the curtains at the top of the window, so usually it will allow light in in the top of the window. Also, I noticed that the suction cups will take off the tinting on the inside of your window. If your windows were tinted as part of the glass, then this will not be a problem, however if your windows were tinted on the inside after the glass was manufactured, then the suction cups will start to pry the tinting from the windows, leaving bubbles. Once this started happening I immediately stop using the suction cups. I found the best way to use the curtains was to wrap a suction cup around my sun visor and then the other end of the curtain I would wrap the suction cup around the handle at the top of the door in my back seat. I found that it did not harm the windows, and the curtains cover more of the windows, including blocking out more light. I highly recommend these curtains, although I would make a few adjustments as I mentioned above.
I was pleasantly surprised to see these are two layers, with a blackout shade behind the checkered one These are great for cars with minimal or no tint in the back windows and kids who complain about the sun in their eyes. The suction cups took a few tries before they would stick well, so they may have to be fixed every so often I really like that it had a draw string to pull one or both shades to the side if needed!
It will do what it is meant to do. Suction cups work well and seem like they will continue to stick. Very poor sewing job, messed up stitches and loose strings everywhere. Doesn't come with instructions so there is an elastic piece that I'm not sure what it's purpose is. Cheap looking in my opinion and would not be good for babies, as they would be able to easily pull them down.
These car curtains came just in time for this Texas summer but I'm not sure how long they will last. These curtains are not quite what I was expecting but really easy to install. I'm pretty sure my twin will pull them down since they're so loose and floppy. Let's see how the suction holds up.
These curtains are… okay. I like the checkered design on them. Absolutely my favorite part. However, the functionality of this product is greatly lacking. It is an actual curtain. It pulls out and pulls back. I do not like that at all. Leaves too much wiggle room for a kid to start playing with it. I have found myself going back to the sun protector that pulls down and with a push of a button returns upwards. The suction cup works fine. However, since you are constantly having to move the curtain back and forth, it works just okay as well. If you hit a snag, it is likely that you could pull the suction cup off. I cannot say that I would recommend this product when I have used others in the past that work tremendously better. However, if you plan putting this in a window more as a permanent fixture and leaving it closed. Then this product would be good for you because the design does give a more personal touch than the other sun screens I am referring to.
I thought these would work quite nicely to keep the Sun out of my son's face when he is working on his phone or tablet in the car but as they say they are a true curtain type shade for your window. They mount with suction cups that are clearly cheap And it's just not what I was hoping for. Now if you have a Van or an S UV and you need to take a nap And you need to block out the light they may work for you but as for shade for a kid they are not ideal and easy to pull down.
These miggt ve the worst suctioncups ive ever dealt with. They do not want to stay on. The shape is almost flat, so getting a suction isnt what you'll get, but a headache is assured. So i guess 8m gonna find some real suctionholdes on kune andreplace this wannabe lookalike suction. cup. smh
These keep the sun out, but do you want to know what else they keep out? Umm.. everything! I'm honestly surprised this passed check codes. When they are down you can not see out your windows AT ALL! That certainly isn't safe, and as the driver it's not like you can just reach behind you and pull them off.
