[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate mowing the lawn, so a robotic mower was on my radar for quite a while. The reputation and market permanence of Husqvarna led me to the Automower. I watched all the instructional videos several times, and I felt thoroughly prepared for installation. And it went fine. Because I plan on adding flower beds and hardscaping later on, I decided to staple the boundary wire for now so that I can more easily move it, and then after the landscaping is finished, bury the wire. Stapling was a real pain. I had to lay down about 500 feet along with several islands around trees, and it sucked. Not technically difficult, just not fun. Also, because the staples are cheap plastic things, every third one would break from hitting a rock in the soil as I pounded it in. But the hookups and connections were easy to do, and the mower worked well without any adjustments on my end. One negative that I can say is that every 5th or so scheduled run, the Automower will stop in the middle of my lawn. No rhyme or reason to it. I'll have to go out and manually restart the mower. And a gripe I have is that the Automower has a terrific knack for finding even the smallest pile of dog crap, and then grinding the poo into a neat patty that can't be scooped up without taking off the first inch of topsoil. Don't get me wrong, this is a minor inconvenience compared to mowing my 1/2 acre yard. Long story short, boundary wire installation was tiresome, mower has minor glitches, and picking up after my dog is now an urgent matter, but the time saving is worth all of that.
