good price and very convenient to use
Very useful tool
I had been using the original Creamer 123 for a few years and was happy with it because it would diagnose engine & body codes. My daughter needed to have her SRS diagnosed but is lives in Virginia. I told her I would send her my 123 and look for something a little better for me. I saw the 123X and read all that it could do, and is upgradable, so I bought it. This is amazingly simple to use and the touch screen is fantastic! It is accurate, the graphing section is great. I can take screenshots and know what is going on with my vehicle. The price is very good and you can upgrade the software for free when needed, or add other software programs directly on the unit for more functions at a fair price. This is an outstanding product!!
I had ABS light coming on my dash and went to several mechanics for repair. But the repair guy needed to charge me around $100-400 to just read the code. So I bought this scan tool for troubleshooting. It worked great on my Toyota Thundra and was able to check the ABS/SRS/Transmission system perfectly. By the way, you can immediately update this diagnostic scanner to get the latest software, adding functions and new models as well as troubleshooting bugs.
I was first skeptical about purchasing the item due to the price -- but it is definitely worth your buck! It was easy to use and the instructions are perfect in directing you towards the use of your new device. The tablet was much bigger than I originally anticipated, but I honestly prefer it so I can easily see the information being displayed onto the monitor. The device allows you to see what is wrong with the vehicle and really dumbs it down for you. I would recommend this device.
Bought a 2006 VW Jetta, that had a lot of engine codes in that I was unfamiliar with. Hooked up the reader and found out what they were, and cleared most of them. The ones that did not clear by the reader, I let me know what needed to get done, to clear them.
After looking at several OB2 code readers, I decided on purchasing theAUTOOL CS606 code reader, because of the screen size, and available functions. I was looking for a reader that would work with numerous manufactures. My first try was on a Mercedes 550, that was receiving check engine light, but would only come on at high speeds, and then would go off. After using other readers, we just couldn't pin point the issue. Needless to say, when I received the launch reader, I downloaded the updates, hooked it up. And ran a systems check, and right from the start, this reader began to show things on the display, that I've never seen with other readers. The display is simply amazing. The analysis with the engine running, read report, etc. pin pointed the exact issue, provided codes that I didn't get with other readers. And within about 10 mins, the problem was located and solved. Fantastic!!! AUTOOL, really did their homework with this code reader.
This scanner works very well. I have Been A mechanic for years and have used scanners a lot. This scanner does more than the average user will ever need. I am impressed in this price range how much this will do. from engine to body codes. allows testing of individual components . I like the component locator on screen, makes it quicker to find sensors when working on a vehicles that are not familiar to you. The best part of this scanner is the free lifetime software updates. anyone that uses these professionally will tell you that software updates cost a small fortune and are constantly needed to stay up on current vehicles. I have used this scanner several times since purchasing on different manufactures and it has preformed well. set up was easy just follow along the on screen directions when you first turn it on. I like the fact that it allows you to choose what manufactures you want to load into it when updating. Overall I recommend this scanner to anyone that wants a bidirectional scanner as opposed to a simple code reader. If you take the time to learn all the features this scanner offers you will not be disappointed,
Doesn't work with my Toyota properly. The item arrived used and showed signs of use.
disdislike this code reader. You can keep the program updated via wifi. It showed all codes active on my vehicle, and will tell you what each code means. You can do further research on each code via the internet. disdislike the built in battery which lasts a LONG time. It's simple to use. I did watch a couple of YouTube videos on this device which made learning it that much easier. In fact, I never used the manual. I learned how to use it from YouTube. bad device! The case holds the device, cables and the manual.
