Autophix 7770 OBD2 Scanner Diagnostic Code Reader All System Scan Tool ABS SRS for BENZ Car

I bought this scanner so I could do my own maintenance on my Mercedes GLK 250. I do the typical routine service tasks on my vehicle such as oil and filter change, air filter, adblue, diesel gas filter, brakes, battery replacement. After performing many of these tasks you still need to inform your cars ECM that you've done those task. Just for those tasks alone, this is a valuable tool, however, the tool goes well beyond that. This model performs somewhere around 40 diagnostic tests on most of the vehicles various subsystems. In addition it provides you you special functions that perfrom the various reset opetations or re-calibrations that you may need to perform, specially for your specific model Mercedes. It's a fairly comprehensive professional list of things it does. If you're doing your own Mercedes maintenace, I highly recommend this device. A couple of drawbacks: You must upgrade the software on this device to get the lastest library of functions. To do this you'll need to install Autophix's update program. The PC communicates with the device over a USB connection. It needs a special USB driver installed. Apparently it only works with windows 7,8 and 10. I don't think it works on windows 11. I fortunately do have an older windows 10 laptop, so that wasn't a problem for me, but that could be a problem for some folks. I've not tried it on windows 11, but I'm pretty sure it's not gonig to work. The other think is that I have not been able to figure out how to print test and diagnosic results. Altough there seems to be a claim that you can do that, I haven't been ale to figure out how to do that. AutoPhix PC software could stand a major revision. Their PC software doesn't do any additional offline diagnostic. Their communcation is primarly used for dianostic library updates an a mechanism of you to send feedback information to AutoPhix support team if you have an issue with some feature. Even with the above caveats, I still recommend this tool. Walmart is selling this tool for ~$89, At that price, I doubt you'll find a better deal for a tool that does as mush as this tool does.
