Turned out to be just as described, and what I needed for a battery powered, custom use. Affordable and well-crafted.

I didn't set them up in a car, But I found 2 other uses: •Use an OTG USB-C adapter so you can turn a type c port on phone into a power source for the light's USB •Plug them into a USB power brick to make them indoor lights (or even Christmas lights if you want) If you get confused about connecting the light part to the string that the light shines through: •Check listing videos section for a video that shows how to set it up. They told me: "You can use scissors to cut a portion of the transparent light tube so it can be inserted into the USB port. There's a video on the product details page for your reference." Sidenote: They don't mean the wire. Do not cut the electric wire. These lights do have a Music sync feature. If your lights get stuck on music sync: •Press power button to go to non-music sync settings I'm glad the lights don't need an app to work. You can use the 2 buttons on the USB instead: •One that controls the light settings •One for music sync 4 out 5 stars because: •I didn't try it for it's intended use (in a car). But I do like that it can be used in other ways. •I had a hard time with knowing how to connect the light source to the light string (But when I sent a question to the seller, they let me know a video was on the product page, they shared typed up instructions and a link to a video. I appreciate that they could help.) •I was able to turn off the music sync with help from an AI after I shared text from the instructions. •Keep in mind that the small flashlight end of the wire that the light comes from can heat up. The Product Manual should be more clear with the details for how to set up the lights and how to turn off music sync in future printings.

Product keeps coming out of slots. Looks really nice for the 5 or 10 minutes it stays in!

Didnt come with all included items rendering it completely useless. Package clearly had a hole in the bottom it's obvious someone stole missing pieces out of bottom of package and store employees didn't bother checking it before sending. It wasn't hard to miss so that's plain laziness on the stores part.

The adhesive was no where to be found-way too complicated
